After a long walk we stopped at the Red Pump for drinks. Having seen the quality of the food being served around us we decided to eat and both opted for the Roast Beef. It was delicious, cooked to perfection with perfect roast potatoes, gravy and Yorkshire pudding. We sat on the terrace and had a perfect afternoon in the...

The Red Pump lies a couple of miles to the North West of Clitheroe, on a quiet B road. The surrounding countryside is wonderful to view, complementing the idyllic setting of the building. Owners Jonathan and Fran have built upon the previous reputation of this great country pub by providing top class, friendly service, varied real ales, superb cuisine and...

We have visited The Red Pump for both just drinks and then food. It has a nice traditional vibe and we love sitting in the snug with our little dog (who is made most welcome). We have been for Sunday roast two weeks in a row now. My partner is rather fussy with food, being a chef himself, and when...

Just had a great lunch, didn't stay overnight. The bar & restaurant areas were just as I like an old inn to be, original & comfortable. The welcome was as good as it gets, very friendly and helpful. My wife & I were planning a walk after lunch & the staff gave us advice & recommendations. Each of our 3...

Firstly the rooms are just about ok, apart from the furniture that to be honest is falling to bits, wardrobe doors don't close. The food is just about on a par with a down market burger joint, cold sauces, steaks not cooked correctly (despite their menu claiming they are steak experts) Now to the owners who seem to have visions...

We stopped here for one evening bed & breakfast as we were attending an event close by and we must say the scenery surrounding the Red Pump Inn was spectacular - as well as rooms they also offer a Yurt experience in the grounds at the rear of the property - we will definitely be back and hope to spend...

Last minute booking for a meal in the bar area with our 2 cocker spaniels. Great welcome for us and the dogs. Thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, hospitality and the food. The competition is fierce in the Ribble Valley, however if the Red Pump maintains this standard and pricing policy it should do well.

This was intended to be a walking holiday, but the rain of the Ribble Valley had us deciding otherwise, so we had to come home to the sunny North-East to walk off the wonderful food served up at the Red Pump Inn. Breakfasts here are a different kind of 'all day breakfast' - we weren't hungry again until the evening....
