Stayed at this gorgeous, traditional Greek hotel and loved it. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, breakfast was fresh and had plenty to choose from, free wifi and air con in all the rooms. Rooms were perfect for what we needed and very, very clean. Our room was cleaned everyday. The pool was never over run with guests, we...

Came here after a flight cancelation at around 2am. I rang the door bell twice and the angry (sleepy) owner started yelling at me in front of 20 people for ringing the bell. He told me that if I won't stop talking he will kick me out of his hotel. No manners at all. Beds are comfy. I stayed in...

I was placed here after my flight to Athens was cancelled that evening - the airline luckiily paid for the stay in this hotel because I otherwise would be been unhappy with what I was paying for. The pictures on the website are very nicely done but it doesn't paint a particularly accurate portait of the reality (which is to...

Our stay at Hotel Kalma was pleasant. The room size is okay. The badroom size however is very small. You have to squeeze yourself between the sink and shower to sit on the toilet. The staff is very friendly. As a couple we got 4 new towels every day. We think that this is a bit too frequent. The pool...

We hadn't visited Santorini before so chose a centrally located hotel to make seeing as much as possible of the island easy, and are so pleased we chose Hotel Kalma in Messaria. The couple who own/run it are delightful and the hotel was perfect for our needs. The room was spotlessly clean and kept that way all week, clean towels...

The hotel is not what the reviews or pictures show its older and has the rooms lack the space unless you are by yourself The oldman up front is rude and insulting. Once again you get what you pay for, lesson learned.

I just returned from this hotel after staying 4 days there. It was our second visit to santorini, so we needed some place to have a rest with nice pool, nice locaiton but not overcrowded like fira. The location of this hotel is really nice, that has local supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and comfortable transport in a few minutes walking distance....

We have just returned from a delightful last-minute booking at Hotel KALMA having therefore taken advantage of an excellent deal. The hotel is situated in the centre of the village of Messaria which is ideally placed for exploring the isalnd. The hotel receptionist organised a hire car - a Smart - for us, at a very good price and we...

I took myself off for a short break to Santorini in September 2015. When looking for hotels, all the ones in the big towns, such as Thira and Oia were very expensive, especially when they had amazing views over the caldera. I searched, instead, for one that was more inland (although on Santorini the sea is never more than a...

“We had room 23 which was spacious and relatively quiet, spotless as was the rest of the hotel. Perhaps rooms 24 and 25 which are nearer the road may be noisier at times and certainly rooms at the rear of the hotel overlooking the pool and with seaviews must be lovely.”
