A great experience overall,
the property location is convenient and easily accessible with good and wide roads in front,

The property has 4 executive (kind 0f) rooms and two Suite rooms on the first floor.
Nice ambience inside the rooms and the interiors resemble a heritage style construct and comfort.

Property has a small but hygienic restaurant with friendly staff who are ready to pamper you.

Few points to be noted:

We had difficulty in getting hot water, however, rectified later.
property should have a pressure pump insider the water tank

Misty courtyard is the kind of resort where everyone would like to be. It is located near Chinnakanal 16 KMs away from the hustle and bustle of Munnar town. You can wake up in the morning and see the clouds moving in front of you, which is a spectacular sight. The location is just awesome, you can see a fall nearby and lush green tea gardens all around.

The hospitality of Mr. Shridhar is great along with the lip-smacking Food they serve. If you're a family take the honeymoon suit which has a nice private balcony to enjoy the splendid view outside. They also serve awesome tea which one can enjoy with the leisurely time by watching the nature at its' best.

ClearTrip and the Hotel thanks for ruining our Vacation

Chinnakanal is 12 km away from munnar town and it is more colder than munnar, We booked this place using clear trip, We were exited about the trip it was long due one for us. 4000+ per night and it was a banglow(as they say it is, I guess they havnt seen a banglow). We reached there by 1:30pm and we were shown the room, We were shocked to find a tiny room with no windows(my room back home is much better than this) , Sad part was that we had no privacy one small building was divided into 4 rooms and every one had one tiny veranda(shared veranda), and property itself is only 8 cent, you get out the room climb down the dangerously steep step and thats it nothing to see. We were suddenly felt the property was unsafe as people was wandering around (The other customers in another rooms).

So we felt we were cheated, the property and room should be priced around below 2k, for what it had to offer, For couples it offers non, We were glad we didn't bring our 2 year old kid,(those steps OMG, Also at night steps is not properly visible). We called cleartrip and said we will not stay here as this is plain cheating and when you have the feeling its unsafe its all over. Now the annoying thing started.

ClearTrip Version:- Amith(this is someone in sales back in kochi) is not allowing us to give you a refund, They said they just need a verbal communication from Hotel then they will refund.

Hotel Version(amit):- They are ready to give refund but cleartrip hasnt contacted him,

So i played the middle man and tried to get the two to contact each other , And after 2 hours of calls to both party, Cleartrip contacted me and said amit said he will not give refund(arrogent way), and will not tell this to me also. Now i feel its Amit he is a big cheat, When someone you take in confidence and cheats you blindly. That feeling...

So we were planning to move anyway and concider our amout paid as charity to this stupid so called banglow(my family has banglow back home – calling this a banglow is plain stupid more like a lodge), But manager told there is one more family that will check in that day, So in his confidance we decided to stay(Mosty due to 4000 bucks we paid and managers assurance).

Now for the Facilty Information

WiFi:- No wifi in rooms only in restaurant(wifi modem in managers room with 2.4ghz rundown tenda modem) You can get faint wifi if you open your room door, And if you do other people will be staring down at your room, Not there fault rooms are like that.

Electricity:- At night there is problem of low voltage, they have big generator unit but they will put it on when ther is low volatage which happens every 20 min, So light flickers light goes off and comes back when genertor is back on.

Televison:- To make things worse ther tatasky they have in rooms was not working it was asking for recharge, manager said they have recharged, i checked the set top box, It had valid subcribtion but it wasnt working(so he was telling the truth). So no TV and wasnt fixed till we left next morning

Food:- Food is expensive but not worth the amount you pay, choice of food is there, But food was tasty , Two person one time veg meals with one chicken curry costed us 500+ rs.

So for whole time we stayed there we kept quit as even wispers were heard in other room, No TV so we went to bed like old people/Toddlers by 8:30pm. No place to go as people were outside(bachlors minding there own busness)

MUST SAY THE STAFF, ESPECIALLY THE MANAGER IS ONE THING GOOD AT THIS PLACE, MANAGER IS A REALLY NICE GUY, WELL MANNERED AND WELL DRESSED. DUDE WITHOUT YOU WE WOULD HAVE BEEN TOTALLY AND UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED

So, Uninstalling and removing Cleartrip. Never again I will go to this place, I have new found respect for KTDC.

The Misty Courtyard Resort at Chinnakanal, away from Munnar town is a beautiful resort. It has only four rooms and a beautiful cottage. Opt for the cottage as it has a balcony and an awesome view up close of the lush tea estates that kiss the borders of the bungalow. Sip your tea sitting in the balcony. Bliss!

The bungalow is around 2,500 feet above sea level and provides an exhilarating view of the mountains and the tea estates. Mr Sridhar, the manager, is a helpful, friendly man. The food was good and one is given a good choice of meals.

The downside? No Wi Fi. The electricity goes off at night and flickers back in spurts. However, since the place is quite cold, it is not much of a bother. So, one has to charge one's phones early and not wait till night to do it.

I travelled during the off season and so it was quiet at the resort. One can hire a car and then go visiting nearby places such as the Matupetty dam, the famous Kannan Devan Tea Estate whose advertisements are almost in your face wherever you go and the Cheeyapara waterfalls which is very close to the Bungalow.

Manpower service is very good.
Mr Sridhar, General Manager welcomed us and had a Pre-Registered CheckIn in the Room..Room is good and service is excellent but no WiFi working in the Room..Even No signal in the mobile.
Take the cottage Room for balcony view.
Had a good breakfast next day and checked out to Munnar Town due to No Signal connection in the Room.
My sincere thanks to Mr Sridhar.
Stayed for 01 night (12th to 13th May2016)

Good and pleasant stay...courteous staff and very good food. If one wants to have a cool and memorable stay at munnar, this is one of the best option. Accessible location surrounded by tea estate. Pleasant and eye catching view. A two in one property to stay for both family and friends

My first-anniversary stay at Misty Courtyard Resort in Munnar was characterized by a mix of highs and lows. While the location offered scenic beauty, the commuting challenges and various disappointments made it fall short of being a value-for-money experience.

Despite notifying the owner, Mr. Basil, about the significance of my special day, the luxury I expected was absent. The room was consistently damp, with moisture affecting nearly all the walls. Mr. Basil dismissed my concerns, stating that such issues were common in Munnar properties. However, my subsequent stay at another property contradicted this claim.

Service at Misty Courtyard Resort was notably slow. Simple requests, such as tea, coffee, or a glass plate, took an exasperating 30 minutes to reach the room. A significant contributor to the dissatisfaction was Mr. Ali, a staff member, who not only damaged my bags but also engaged in a confrontational argument when confronted. Guests should exercise caution when dealing with Mr. Ali.

To compound the disappointment, when I requested a replacement for the damaged bag, the solution offered was a garbage bag – an unsatisfactory resolution for a luxury property. In summary, while the location provided a scenic backdrop, the commuting challenges, coupled with damp room conditions, slow service, and the unsatisfactory resolution to the bag incident, make Misty Courtyard Resort fall short of providing a truly value-for-money experience. Potential guests should be aware of these shortcomings before considering a stay.

We chose this resort to celebrate our 3-year old's 3rd bday and our 4th wedding anniversary. along with the parents and her darling uncle. We were paranoid about going to a crowded place (because, COVID!) and wanted absolute privacy and quiet. And that is exactly what the owners promised us and gave us too!

We had the entire resort to ourselves. The hospitality was fabulous: we’re certain that being the “owner’s friend's friends” was not the only reason we were looked after like gold.

The resort has 5 rooms: 2 on the ground floor, 2 executive rooms upstairs and a beautiful honeymoon cottage that could easily accommodate 5-6 people (inspired by the iconic honeymoon in Midhunam the movie!?)😉

The dining area is at a much lower level, so none of the kitchen sounds reach the rooms. This also meant none of the room’s noise reached the kitchen: we set up our karaoke system, took out the mics and sang away to glory. All three days.

The food was to our taste, personalized and made with love. The kitchen staff is a lovely family -- and oh, do ask for their beef roast. It was the most loved dish of all!

There were some bathroom fittings that could have used some fixing...we found this surprising since the resort apparently was newly renovated too. However, these issues caused no inconvenience, was just a minor eyesore. But apart from that - most beautiful stay and would highly recommend to all!
