We stayed here for 2 nights. It was a very convenient and relaxing stay. The staff were really welcoming. The rooms were spacious, and premises are kept clean. I would really appreciate the hygiene, safety measures the management had implemented to take care of their guest during reception, check in process and room services. Overall, it was a safe and comfortable stay.

We had a wonderful time at wind munnar. We visited this place as a couple in the month of March. Key things that we liked :
1. Room and view from the room. Every room gets a valley view.
2. Food by in-house chef Muthu here is lip smacking. Make sure you try Kerela parotha and Kerela chicken curry.
3. Staff. The staff here is very friendly and prompt. Noby(manager) prepared us draft travel itinerary based on the time we had in Munnar which was very kind.

My vacation was well spent at the resort. During our stay, it was foggy and misty everywhere. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. I would recommend ordering the food ahead of time so that they have enough time to prepare and serve it on time.

I will recommend the place to my friends at any time.

Average stay. View is awesome, but everything else was just ok.

The rooms are very large and each of them have balconies, the corner ones have a direct view of the valley. The rooms are clean but the bed sheets were not so tidy. The bathroom is huge but lacked any toiletries. They gave us 3 shampoo sachets (clinic plus) and a 5 rupees soap bar. so carry your own toiletries if you wish to have something better.

Other than relaxing in the balcony and looking at the view, there are no activities in the hotel, there is no WIFI, but they gave us a JIO dongle to use when we asked.. it was just enough to keep touch with the outer world as the phone network is patchy. Airtel doesn't even have a network inside the rooms and in most places on the street. Had to walk up a bit to catch network. The tiny 14 inch old world TV didn't have a working cable connection. The plug points are in bad condition and it's difficult to use phone chargers in a few of them. No kettle in room to have tea with such a beautiful view.

The food in the restaurant is mostly decent and we had several meals there itself. Breakfast was not buffet but several varieties were served on the table and it was wholesome and tasty with unlimited portions. We also had tea with evening snacks of pakodas and it was nice. Children may feel bored there with no activities or anything to do.

I visited the wind resort in October 2021. I stayed there with family for one night. They gave us stale food with bad odour coming of it. Another family that day also complained about bad smell from the food.

I had booked two cottages for 6 adults and 2 children, they said at the time of booking that they would give an extra bed in one cottage for 4 people to stay in one cottage, but they did not provide the extra bed and said that 4 people have to adjust in one cottage in a small bed and a sofa-cum-bed thing.

There cottage is really over priced, don't believe the images given in the net, it's all edited.

They charged me 250 ra extra for the bed. I really had a bad experience.

Very poor management. We had booked 3 nights for 3 rooms. But on second night after returning to the hotel at 11pm there was literally nobody to attend in hotel and even phones were not picked up all night. After room service that day they had kept 2 doors open which we got to find out at 11pm on returning. We are glad we did not loose baggage and passports due to that. And the third room was locked by them and there was no way the keys were working. We tried to open the door for 1 hour. Luckily we had 2 more rooms but we used only 2 rooms that night but there was no extra blanket due to which we were suffering. Imagine we paid for 3 rooms but still had to sleep in 2 rooms as they locked the rooms and management were sleeping at 11pm. Our experience is recent one during Christmas time. If possible we would give negative rating to them. Only plus point is that they have nice location.. but book only and only if you not getting any 1star hotel also...

Breakfast: They gave only bread and butter for breakfast. One day Idli was there too. Their kitchen was unhygienic.

I don't have anything else to comment. We had booked two rooms at The Wind thru booking.com for one night stay on 11 Jan 2020. On 10 Jan i got a message from the hotel management stating that if I am not interested I can cancel the booking. Its sounded to me like that the team doesn't want me to book the property. I thought its because the property is on high occupancy, so I reconfirmed the booking and paid the advance as requested by them.

But when I reached the property I clearly understood why they told that, the road to the property itself is horrible. Renovations are going on and many of the so called cottages are not ready yet. The property is scattered with debris. There were no proper staff for the check in . I really don't know how can a resort take the bookings when there are serious renovations happening and that too during the peak season time. As i had paid the advance i thought i will check in. But the rooms were stinking with the smell of paint. The beds were very bad. When we asked them, if we had WiFi in our rooms, they told us "The WiFi modem doesn't have charge." and isn't this enough to show how excellent their service is.

I actually wanted surprise to my family but finally i became a faceless person in-front of my family. Hence I paid THE WIND in FULL - an amount of Rs.9350 /- for nothing and checked out . I expected an apology for the inconvenience but unfortunately i had to hear the stories of their great services which i am not interested at all.

I am really surprised to the see the rating what this property has got. How can someone tell good about it. In last 20 years of my career in the tourism industry I've been travelling around the world and i never had a pathetic experience like this. They should have shown the 50% of the enthusiasm of payment collection on the customer care also.

We shouldn't judge a book by its cover and a Hotel by its Images Online. Good Luck to ones who book it.

The staff was excellent. Five stars would be less. But the Location of the hotel was not very convenient...overall the hotel looks dated (old). Dinner was bad... breakfast was ok with a limited menu not buffet. I paid around 3400 per night...stayed for two nights.. looks a bit highly priced.

As far as I remember all rooms have a view over the valley with some balcony or terrace, even the cantine provides a nice view. There is a play room and a garden, yet I don’t remember to have seen any playground.
