It was a comfortable stay with good food and good room service. Staff is honest as i dropped my wallet in bar and was handed over to me safely. Thanks guys. Thanks a lot. Balcony view is really good. Its a budget property so dont expect free frills. Yes its value for money with really good veg and non veg food at reasonable cost

the hotel is quiet and away from all the busy areas with a beautiful locations of the mountains. The room was decent and clean with plenty of hot water. Food was good and tastey and prepared fresh on order. hotel staff was cooperative and helpful. parking area is quite spaceful.

The hotel refused to honour our booking and left us stranded as a family in the middle of the night. They even refused to entertain phone calls from Agoda's executives, Agoda is the portal through which we booked.

This hotel is really pathetic. I had a real bad experience staying here. Location is 7 - 8 kms from Palampur, which is ok if you are looking for just one night stay. But rooms are just pathetic with no cleanliness, dirty blankets, dirty bed sheets, so many mosquitoes and other insects, full of cockroaches etc.... the parking space is also horrible...you really need to climb Himalayas rock to park your vehicle...very very risky.....The hotel staff is very rude and harsh...totally non-cooperating specially the middle aged Manager and his daughter.... Please don't dare to check-in....

We stopped on a locals recommendation and had perhaps the best meal ever- the yellow dal was perfect, the palak paneer fresh with taste, the raita, the mixed sabzi... glorious! Four of us packed it all in for 650 rupees! Highly highly recommend it!

We stayed at this hotel for almost a week. The rooms are basic and neat but the service is awesome. We were very well taken care of by the owner. The food at the restaurant is great and do try the thupka and momos, highly recommeneded

We truly enjoyed our stay at Thamsar. We were there a few days booked through Cleartrip and then almost a week as part of a conference. The room was basic, but pretty clean. The service was great! Highly recommend it.

We came to The hotel when we could not enter McLeod Ganj because of a huge traffic jam. I found this was the only available hotel, asked the owner lady to hold the room for me which she very thankfully did because there were atleast 50 odd people like me looking for a place. The room and the bathroom were clean and as soon we freshened up after a hectic 16 hour drive from Delhi, we were served good food in the restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a base to roam around Palampur as it is situated on the highway, away from city crowd and has ample parking place. Also the bar with the the restaurant comes in handy to relax after a day of shopping and driving. Food is decent and rightly priced.

Although on NH 154, the hotel is calm, quite and charming. Simple decor yet elegant. The food is good and the dhauladhar view is lovely. The room service is good and is required since restaurant is in ground floor and one need to walk down. The rooms are spacious and attached bath is good. Over all very comfortable and value for money for Rs 1200 a night room.
