Masterclass in hospitality. The place & the warmth of the people over exceeded our expectations. The experience and the personal touch starts from the moment you book the place. From personlised choices for food to advise to look around, everything is great. We traveled a day after out wedding anniversary, but the team had kept a beautiful surprise with a heart shaped cake for us 😍. Shreya, the manager and deepak uncle & aunty, the owners are so humble and warm. Shreya, gave us great travel tips and hidden gems and spent time with us to curate itenary for our onward journey. Deepak Uncle and aunty spends quality time with each guest and they have some great stories to tell about the place and their heritage. It was awesome interacting with them. Food is lip smacking, Dham or even simple thali, everything is so well cooked and curated with fresh veggies. The entire staff, shubham, ajay, manoj and other are so nice and welcoming with a smile. The tea estate tour is worth doing and Punit, the host at estate helped us with some great insights about tea making and drinking. The lodge is so tastefully done and every corner looks to be planned well and environment friendly at the same time. It was a home away from home ! Coming back soon 😊…
We had a lovely stay at this wonderful Homestay. The Lodge At Wah is a gem right opposite the lush Wah tea gardens. Highly recommend the tea tasting and The Tearoom cafe at the Wah Tea Estate. The experience of living in exquisite mud cottages felt organic and surreal. The rooms were clean, comfortable and super spacious with all amenities. The food was fresh and mouth watering and we were pampered immensely by the Owner and his wonderful team who were personally involved in making our stay comfortable and memorable. The local Himachali Dham was an unmatched experience and the live wood fire pizzas are a must try. All in all, a lovely stay. Highly recommended and a must visit. A big thank-you to the WAH team.
A Homestay in the most wonderful setting: drive out an hour around and take in each view - the forests, wheat fields, the peaks of the Dhauladhar Range, small bridges with stony river beds under it- the perfect location. Wake up to the sounds of birds and the light streaming in. Each meal is worth looking forward to : one of the few places where they have taken care to develop on the local cuisine : the perfect blend of Himachali and Punjabi food suited to the area with an added dash of continental or Tibetan: As you like it ! The wonderful staff, the management led by Shreya and the owners Deepak and Neerja make it complete.
If you want a little piece of heaven on earth, just head to Wah! For me that sort of sums it up. It was my first solo trip because I was just tired and overwhelmed with too much happening around me and wanted to get away from it all….. wasn’t sure at first if I had made the right choice. But as it turned out, my instincts were right! This is my ‘ go to ‘ place for my getaways and the main reason is not just it’s location but the hosts! Upasana, Surya, his parents and even his sister( who happened to be visiting) made me feel a part of their family and of course the Calcutta connection gave us a lot to talk about! The evening barbecues, the Pahari meals the comfortable rooms and the lovely tea garden with the tea tasting experience added to the memorable stay. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place that’s away and beyond, yet a warm , welcoming home.…
We had a wonderful and memorable experience!! It was awesome!! Lovely rooms..: lovely views …. ! Attention to details and the staff courtesy was phenomenal! There are certain places we leave our marks on and then there are places which continue to remain with us. As I sit behind the wheels once again for the journey back to the land of headhunters, The Lodge at Wah will be the memory for us to cherish for times to come. As our reunion, the destination couldn't have been better. Deepak Sir , Shreya and her team , Manoj with the entire crew have taken the concept of hospitality to a level where it will be difficult for anyone to match. The Reunion Boys salute the spirit of putting your heart and soul into making our college reunion lifetime memory!!
It was my husband's 40th Birthday and we were 5 couples. Shreya and Deepak Uncle ensured it was perfect stay and a memorable birthday eve. Amazing hospitality felt like home away from home. The breakfast is too good better than any 5star hotel. Not a wide spread but just enough to satiate everyone's cravings. The entire staff and team are very helpful and cheerful. Do not miss the evening picnic it's arranged so beautifully. We were mesmerised. Overall a beautiful stay at this beautiful property. Many thanks to Shreya and Deepak Uncle for making it so special.
The genuine warmth and hospitality of Upasana and Surya will make you feel you are returning home after years. Totally spoil you. The entire package - the rooms, food, setting and of course the hosts are worth the visit. We will be back soon.
A warm and friendly home stay. Expect clean, cosy and comfortable and not 5 star trappings. Excellent food and hospitality. The Pahadi Thali is to die for ! Surya and Upasana take such good care of you that you almost don’t want to leave. Great for small groups- friends or family.
We loved every second of our stay at the Lodge at Wah. This was my parent's first homestay experience and the team at Wah went above and beyond to make it absolutely perfect. From the incredible view of snow-capped Dhauladhars from our cottage to the soulful experiences the team curated for us, this was one of my favourite vacations yet. Throughout our week in Palampur, the team wowed us with their incredible hospitality. I love Kangra miniature art, so Deepak uncle arranged for an incredible artist to come to the lodge and showcase his work. What an absolute privilege! The food and the private dining setups were especially phenomenal. I was blown away by the Italian food, the lavish Kangra dham and the tandoori night. Every meal was different, and delicious! I was also extremely impressed with their hiking partners who curated some incredible experiences in the lush valleys around Palampur. The Lodge at Wah's greatest asset is its soul. The family who run the lodge are genuine, kind people who care deeply about your vacation, and they will go out of their way to ensure that you are having a great time! As someone who has been to hundreds of luxury hotels around the world, places like Wah are increasingly rare. Places with a heart. Don't think about this for a second, and book it. You are in for the trip of your life.…
