I found this hotel on trip advisor and thought it might be a hit or miss thing. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised about the rooms and service. As others posted the villa is very new and very clean. Every room has everything you would expect from European or north American standards. The location is indeed on the main street and can be loud during the day but once evening hits it calms down. The air con is excellent so really there is no reason your windows would be open anyway. The manager Sergio is fantastic and more than willing to help you with anything you may need. Sergio informed us that there had been a strike the day we wanted to leave and the hotel was full so Sergio drove us around to find another hotel. We looked at many and settled on a hotel that was not as good and more money. We have now stayed in several places here in Boca Chica and now we know we are coming back to Villa Capri. One last thing, it is very convenient for the airport or car wash.

We stayed 5 days in the villa Capri and were enchanted by the cleanliness of the place and the helpfulness of the manager. Sergio Peluso, as well as the staff went out of their ways to make our holiday unforgettable. At first we stayed in a room without kitchen but then we changed, as there are lots of little shops around, where you can buy almost anything. The beach is about 20 minutes away(walking)and is a restful place with beautiful tourquoise water. If you want you can also relax on the terrace of the hotel with a nice jacuzzi and bar service. The hotel is very close to the airport and also on the motorway to Santo Domingo , where you can catch a bus in any direction. Noise is not an issue as the windows are double-glazed. In any case a hotel which makes you want to come back!

Starting with the owner and workers. You can ask for better people they don't know what else they can do for you. Nothing negative everything was yes. Clean... The covers don't even have a bad smell like other hotel I have stayed at.
Yes you are next to a big road but the noise it's not that bad. You are going to DR everyone listens to music.
Spa loved it very nice girl that did my massage. If you go make sure to use the spa with great prices.
Safe!!! Yes I felt safe there with me and my belongings. There is always someone there locking out for everything and the owner and wife are always up at any time of night.
Villa Capri thank you for making me feel at home.
Jacqueline :-)

When I arrived the girl attended me with kindness I arrived before 3 and delivered room before the hour which I thank because I arrived tired, the wifi very bad, I could not buy chip and depended on this wifi and spent hours without connection when bathing I realize that there are no towels and shampoo or hot water. But the worst part is that at 9 pm they opened the door and when he saw me he said sorry I thought he was not, I went down to report and I saw that it was the reception of the night, nor who to report with because he was solely responsible at that time, I told him that he does not see in his system that the room is already occupied and he said yes but that he thought he was not. But at 9 pm???? What would I get into??? Without touching and that's when I saw that I had nothing security the room, I didn't have the chain lock that they put inside, my room had door lock but anyone who has a key can enter, and 2 you share a balcony with the next room and you only have a glass door that opens with a key so I could not sleep from the fear of not being sure. The reception man became high-minded when I claimed him and told me already forgotten nothing happened my worst experience really.🥺 If you travel alone think twice. It only occurred to me to lower the bed to obstruct the door but I could also enter through the balcony.

Don't be lulled by the name. This is no Capri. If you can get passed your room smelling like fecal matter, the scent so strong Raid bug spray won't even kill the smell nor the giant size Dr. Moreau mosquitos lying in wait for you: Congratulations, you are a survivor! The Navy SEALS can use you.
You gain sublime knowledge that you are some how paying something forward or settling a karmic debt after enduring a night on a bed with spring that sticks into your back, side, thigh.
After you rub out the multiple lacerations and indentations in your body, you regain your self loathing (that even for you, you went beyond cheap).
But, ever a masochist, you bravely go where you must: The bathroom. The intermittent spray of extreme cold and hot water shooting from the shower head in the one direction it can, at your feet, wakens brings you to total awareness that you've been had by false advertising.
You have faith.
You know you have purged at least some sins after you've scraped the top level of your skin off with the hemp for towels (the rags I use to clean my house are softer and in better condition).
Furthermore, you are smugly satisfied because you had brought your own soap and somehow beat Villa Capri's management's sadism in having no amenities. Their sadism doesn't stop, for instead of toilet paper, they use crepe paper but you even have that covered because you also bought your a box of Kleenex which now have the dual purpose of wiping your nether regions + wiping the tears of joy off your face as you leave Villa Capri.

All customers are always satisfied with our hospitality as you can see from the previous book reviews. We have always accepted the few negative comments, then we can improve as a result, so are always welcome. There is a team of 12 people working continuously to provide adequate services in each department so we believe this unfortunate recenzione that seems pretextual and specially made to degrade the good name of the hotel.

I was traveling to the Dominican Republic for the first time and after having my flight delayed twice I didn't arrive and then leave the airport in Santo Domingo until almost 1AM. I arrived at the Hotel Villa Capri at almost 2AM and was worried that since I hadn't emailed them that I might not be able to check-in since it was so late, but thankfully the owner was waiting for my arrival. I was quickly checked in and was pleasantly surprised that even though the surrounding area didn't look that nice in the middle of the night the hotel itself was very secure and the room was a suite with a large bathroom and full-size kitchen and dinning area. The bedroom was air conditioned and the entire suite was very clean. I slept quite well and in the morning (almost noon) the owner answered several questions and made great suggestions on how to obtain a sim card, travel on a budget through the country, and how to get back to Santo Domingo on a gua gua (bus). I spent an hour after check out using the wi-fi in the lobby and was very grateful for such wonderful hospitality. I definitely recommend staying at this hotel after your arrival in Santo Domingo since it is very close to the airport. I recommend taking the gua gua from the airport (upstairs at departures where American Airlines ticketing is) and paying for a seat for you and one for your luggage which would cost you about $1.50 a seat since a taxi will set you back anywhere from $20-25 US. You would just have to be arriving prior to when the gua guas stop running. It would also be a great place to stay if you are visiting Boca Chica's beach.

Needed a place close to the airport because of an early flight the next day.Hotel Villa Capri is newly rennovated, charming, and has a very friendly manager. Cold A/C, TV, fridge, safe, internet, balcony in each room. Free parking. My room was $38 total for double queen beds.
Staying on a Monday night. Not too loud, but can hear outside noise. No soap and no iron. No pool. No lift but only three stories. The hotel is directly off the highway, so my particular view is terrible. The manager leaves at times and no one can fully help (like with soap, or a cigar cutter), although other staff remain onsite. The beach is a ten minute walk away down a grungy (but not shady) street. Go down this same street for restaraunts, a bank, and shops. The airport is 7 miles away (10 minutes by car). It costs $25 or so to get there, which is expensive but about what a taxi will charge. The manager will take you there himself for the same price. As I need to be at the airport by 5:30 am it's a decent deal.
So, a nice place, would suspect you need a taxi if you have young kids, and some flaws, but value for money trumps all here.

The criticisms are always welcome to improve our services, since we are at the beginning of our activities accommodation. In every bathroom in our apart-hotel there is a dispenser of liquid soap, perhaps the customer was referring to the shower gel that we have forgotten to give to those who are passing through for one night. So we also fit these disposable products, where a we require the customer, because usually everyone prefers to use their own. We equip the rooms overlooking the highway to make them less noisy.

We stayed here twice, on the first and last night of a family vacation to DR. I am not a big fan of Boca Chica, but it is much better than Santo Domingo (way too chaotic), and closer to the airport. We stayed in two different two-bedroom units. The first was rooms 107&108 on the 1st floor (not ground floor) on the north side, which is the side next to the main road (highway). This room is their largest, what they call type A. Very nice room with two queen beds in one room, and a queen in the other. Two bathrooms, kitchen/dining room. All rooms are very spacious, and were clean. The downside of this room is that there is some road noise, so a light sleeper might not do well. Heck, a light sleeper is probably not going to do well in the Dominican Republic, period. On the second visit we stayed in Room 105, which is on the first floor also, but on the south side, away from the highway. This is the Type B room. Each of these bedrooms had a queen bed, and we had a rollaway brought in for one of the rooms. Only one bathroom. A non-pullout couch that could sleep a smaller person. Nearly as spacious as the type A, but we liked it better due to less road noise. Slightly cheaper than the type A as well. The owner/host is very nice, helpful and accommodating. Hotel has 24 hour security, gated parking and seemed quite safe. Did not try bar or spa services. It is not on the beach, which is a 15 minute walk away. We did encounter a half dozen mosquitos.

Stayed at Villa Capri in April for one night before going on a cruise and one another night after the cruise, before my flight.
Clean room, the smell of disinfectant quite strong though. Shower a bit dirty but would do for one night. Very nice staff, attentive and accomodating, security at the gate.
Noisy until late of night due to location, near an auto shop, I heard loud local music until I finally fell asleep. Breakfast is not worth it.
Overall, very good value for money for people in transit.
