The most lovely B and B, run by the most lovely Jackie. Rooms are exceptionally clean, nothing is too much trouble and the breakfast is first class. I have a food allergy that I informed Jackie off the first time I stayed and she has never forgotten!

I would go out of my way to stay at this hotel. I was welcomed at the door by a smiling face and a cup of tea with a piece of cake. My room was warm and very comfortable, in fact the bed was the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in. I was welcomed into the lounge...

From the welcome to the room to the breakfast, you cannot fault the Ropewalk. I was in the area with work but it would be also be an ideal spot if visiting the area for leisure. Compared to other places it is tremendous value for money.

Only stayed for one night but we were made so welcome. Jackie and her husband went out of their way to make us comfortable, everything you could want from a B&B. Rooms are quite large and have an old English feel but I am told the building is only 16 years old. Nice conservatory with plenty of wet weather entertainment...

Well if you want Home from Home this is the B&B for just that .We were welcomed by Jackie who made us a cuppa and said "have it in our kitchen". Our room had all you needed, and on the landing just outside the room was a good collection of DVDs and Paper Back books for the avid reader. Plenty...

My husband and 4 month old daughter stayed at The Ropewalk whilst travelling, and visiting family and friends. Our room was immaculate, bright and very well maintained. The bed was top notch, and we were provided a travel cot for our daughter to sleep in during our stay; they stopped at nothing to accommodate us in every way possible. Breakfast...

A lovely b&b. We were welcomed with a cup of tea and offer of cake. The bedroom was large, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was fantastic (including freshly made fruit salad and home made preserves). Jackie does not ask for Tripadvisor reviews so any you read are un-solicited! Highly recommended!

Very nice people that are welcoming, friendly and accommodating. B&B is immaculately clean and tidy. Serves excellent breakfast. Clipper tea in my room (my favourite!). Well worth the money. RECOMMENDED. Thank you MATT

We have recommended this venue to many of our clients who come on our training courses. We have run several courses this year with clients coming from Europe , the USA and as well as the UK, several of them have stayed at the Ropewalk and all of them said to us what a great experience they have had and...
