I went to Vrindavan 3 days for my own documentary project. There weren't many guests there staying mainly volunteers and devotees so I could get a private room for 1000 rupies per night with 3 meals included, great vegetarian food. The place is lovely and peaceful not far from the river and amenities in a quiet part of Vrindavan. I...

I was here in march 2015 during the holi festival. The place is beautiful! They dont have single rooms for solo travelers here though. I paid Rs. 600 which includes all 3 vegetarian meals and stay which makes it quite a good deal. The folks looking after this place belong to the south american community of hare krishna. Ananda, saraswati...

Vrinda Kunja is located in peacefull historical part of Vrindavan, but in the same time all the importante temples and places are in walking distance. Built in authentical indian style which is so rare to get. Most of the place belongs to large beatiful garden with trees and flowers. Rooms are small but nicely decirated in rural style with bamboo...

And the most important is that you can meet there true saints which can guide you as for the town sites, and also on the questions of...

First, though, a warnijng about the whole town: monkeys have learned to snatch spectacles off the faces or out of the hands of visitors and run off with them. Be warned! It's strange to review this as a hotel, since it's really a Hare Krishna ashram that welcomes visitors, many of whom (but not all) are Hare Krishna people too....

We wanted to go to an ashram while we were in India to do some yoga. We read that this one had yoga, and also that they had a farm that you could volunteer on. We were interested in that as well so we came here. We didn't realize that the town of Vrindavan is where Krishna grew up, so...
