We found the neighboring rain forest which is the principle attraction of this area rather a 'non event' and this undoubtedly influenced our view of this part of our Costa Rican experience. The hotel was however clean, quiet and offers a variety of rooms of differing sizes and with differing aspects, the upper of which offer wonderful views. Breakfast was...

Our stay there was very nice. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent, so was dinner. WiFi is only available in the restaurant or lobby, but it was very fast. All the people were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice.

Room was huge. Actually we had family unit, like a small hut. We had separate bathroom and huge bath tub in the bedroom. Was really good to have hot bath sipping Costa Rican coffee during cold dark evenings! Room was always cleaned well. Tv had loads US channels and great reception. Breakfast was actually good and coffee was great. Staff...

Overall Nice Hotel. Family suite with balcony is nice choice with 2 levels . There is NO AC in the room. We were in December and did not need one. There is good amount of walk from room to the lobby. Rooms are big and suite has 2 levels. Bottom has king bed and second level has 2 twin beds....

Good location with excellent views - when it's not raining! Located on a steep hillside, it's a real trek to the top tier of rooms - especially during the aforementioned rain. The restaurant was average but nothing special; it's about a 15 min walk into the town for other dining options.

We stayed here as part of a Thompson Cloud forest tour, the hotel was the second on the tour and the first had left us with high expectations. this hotel is traditional, clean and the rooms have enormous beds! the rooms are fine for somewhere to sleep and shower with plenty of room. We had a room on the top...

Our rooms were in the 200's on the second floor. That gave us a good view. The rooms were adequate, clean and bathrooms were clean with hot water. The breakfast were good, served buffet and offered very typical Costa Rican Breakfasts with gallo pinto, sausage, eggs, toast, french toast, cereal, fruit, juice, coffee. The restaurant served dinner and that was...

Of the 5 hotels we visited in Costa Rica on a group excursion, this was the weak link. We bought the "moderate" package, so I don't think our expectations were for 5 star places. This place just had too many little problems (mostly fixable) to make it worth booking. Our spacious room had no AC (like another property we stayed...

The hotel rooms were enormous . . . . we could have put half our tour group in our room. The mattresses could be improved on, but after a long day on a tour bus, we were more than ready for sleep and it was not a major problem. The hotel provides a shuttle from the reception to the rooms...

The room was absolutely beautiful, spacious, open, and the view was stunning! The only thing that could really be a problem for some people is that it's quite the hike up from reception to get to the rooms at the tip-top! Bring your hiking boots!
