Monteverde was our first stop on our vacation in Costa Rica and we are so glad we chose to stay at the Hotel Ficus. When we arrived we were walked to our room to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The view was beyond anything pictures can capture. We were lured in by the promise of a good view, and this location absolutely delivers. Watching the sunset over the bay and mountains is a view I will never forget - right from our room's balcony! The restaurant is another bonus. Same great view, friendly service, and good eats. The front desk helped us book a tour to the El Tigre Waterfalls (which was an area excursion I highly recommend), but then they went above and beyond when we packed up everything except for my husband's brand new AirPod headphones. As soon as we reached our next location, he realized he had left them behind and we quickly emailed the hotel. Not only did they stay connected with us via email and Whatsapp throughout the week, but they made arrangements to have the headphones delivered to us in San Jose at the end of our trip. We were blown away. We are so grateful to all the staff who made our experience top notch. We can't wait to visit here again!…

My husband and I are really enjoying our experience at Ficus Hotel in Monteverde. We have a room on their top floor and the views are breathtaking. We can see all down the valley to the ocean. Nicole at reception has been very friendly and helpful. She explained everything we needed to know about the hotel and Monteverde and included a map and prices of all of the reserves and main attractions. She also helped us with room service when we were too tired to go out for a dinner when we arrived. We are enjoying our stay so much we have decided to to stay for a few more nights. The breakfast staff were also very friendly and attentive.

Good for the price. The food was nice as well as the staff. They had just reopened the restaurant for diner. It is easy to park and the hotel is located near restaurants and stores. We were a family of four and the room was comfortable for the four of us.

We booked this room through their website and had to do a paper transaction but the place had a lovely, well cared for appearance and sense. We got a large, well designed room with a stunning view (234) and a well appointed bathroom. Breakfast was smashing. Location is excellent. We were very Pleased.
