We wanted to love glamping as much as we did San Lucas Treetop dining, but we just can't say that we did. Part of our problem was that we had just left another hotel close by with treehouse bungalows, where we experienced not only privacy and great views, but also the most welcoming and friendly staff that you can imagine! The welcome at Chira was business- like and professional, but not really friendly. The greeter/ host acted as if it were unlikely that we had booked a reservation at the restaurant, especially since "we were only staying one night". I pondered that the assumption was that we were too cheap to eat there, since we had earlier declined to order the tent service breakfast. Actually, we ate there and loved it! Interestingly, when we were leaving the next morning, the morning staff was very friendly. The tent is luxurious by any standards, but I must admit that nothing seemed very eco-friendly which makes one feel guilty in the rainforest especially. Guilty or not, the hot shower was the best I had on our entire trip!…
100% recommend. - View was amazing - Snacks and food were restocked - Robes and slippers were provided to relax in - Tents come equipped with air conditioning and a portable heater if needed - BBQ and full kitchen with microwave allows you to cook your own food - TV with Netflix and some board games are provided for entertainment - The outdoor shower is an incredible experience (and there’s an indoor shower as well)
We stayed two nights at Chira Glamping. The website images are accurate and depict the setting well. We could not see any of the other units from our deck so it felt very private. The AC unit inside the "tent" worked well and was one of the quietest hotel AC units I've ever experienced. Staff was super helpful with arranging activities and helping with directions. We did not eat dinner at the restaurant but did have drinks at the restaurant bar. The drinks were some of the best executed cocktails we had in all of Costa Rica.
We stayed for 3 nights in the honeymoon tent and couldn’t recommend it enough if you’re looking for accommodation in Monteverde! We were both so wowed when we first came in and loved watching the sunset in the evenings - the view is worth the stay alone. The hot tub / out door shower all add to the experience and there is everything you need in terms of kitchen facilities etc. The only thing we felt was missing was a small table and chairs inside the tent (which could go by the window) as all the seating is outside and it gets cold in the evening / rains and the seating can remain wet, so it would be nice to have an alternative inside apart from just the bed to sit on. However this is just a small thing and we moved some chairs inside to be able to relax on in the evening / eat dinner when needed! The team working there are also so friendly and helped us plan all of our activities whilst staying there which was really helpful. We ordered breakfast one day which was lovely and there was enough food along with the bits they give you with the room to have breakfast the next day as well. Overall we’d definitely stay again if we visited!…
We absolutely loved our stay at Chira Glamping. We stayed 2 nights in the family tent. Our kids (12 and 10) thought it was the most unique place ever. We loved the hot tub and unparalleled views from our treetop. The service was great! Also I highly recommend ordering the breakfast. It was tons of food and delicious. This is a must unique stay in Monteverde.
Chira Glamping exceeded our expectations. The views were breathtaking, the hot tub was amazing, we only showered outside and the bed was very comfortable. We couldn't have been happier! Remember, this is GLAMPING, so there is wildlife! We saw lots of creepy crawlers, but so worth it! This hotel is in a perfect spot, so close to town! We really enjoyed being out in nature and feeling like we were so at peace staying within all of the trees. We also took advantage of San Lucas Treetop Dining Experience at Chira Glamping which was absolutely the best experience of our life. This is a must stay if you go to monteverde!
If you are looking for a unique and wonderful experience, this place needs to go on your bucket list. Sunset Room-this is an incredible facility! The attention to detail in the tent and room was incredible. The check-in staff was courteous, friendly and pointed out all of the features. The view overlooking Monteverde at night while under the stars was spectacular. Breakfast was delivered to the room and I was so impressed with it!
We stayed in the honeymoon tent and enjoyed it immensely! The tent is very comfortable although I would have liked a bigger bed! It was actually fairly soundproof as the nights were very windy but we could barely hear it in the tent. The outdoor area is very spacious and has everything you need- a full kitchen with gas stove, bbq and a sitting area plus the best part- a hot tub! It was quite cool in the evenings so we spent some time enjoying the hot tub. The kitchen is well stocked and there is even some food and drink provided. The first morning we had breakfast delivered- it was very good and huge! The second morning we had the leftovers and cooked some eggs that were provided in the fridge. The outdoor shower was fun and private although part of the deck isn’t totally private. I highly recommend staying here- a fun and unique place to stay!…
We had a very nice 2night stay in one of the tents! It was such an amazing part of our holiday! The tent has everything you need! Emily and Maria were very helpful and arranged all of our tours amd activities. They were so nice! Also order the in room breakfast if you‘re there! Everything was perrfect!
Highly recommend this place, breakfast was wonderful. The little kitchen was an addition that very appreciated. The views are amazing and the sunrise and sunsets were gorgeous from the tent. Also, recommend the San Lucas Treetop restaurant.
