Great hospitality, great food, great setting. Rooms are comfortable and clean. A great jumping off point for many adventures in the area. Julio and Janeth were very helpful and friendly. Tom and Marge gave us some very helpful advice about living in Belize. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed at Moonracer farm in January, 2015 for the first part of our trip to Belize. Tom and Marge (the owners) are Americans from upstate NY who moved to Belize several years ago. They helped us coordinate the stay ahead of time and provided good insight into some of the tours we were planning to take....

This was the highlight of our summer trip to Belize. The setting is beautiful in the middle of forest and the accommodation is cosy and spotlessly clean. The family made us very welcome and we enjoyed walks with them and exploring the area round the farm. The food is all home cooked and plentiful. A must for any visitor to...

Enjoyed our stay at Moon racer. Hosts Julio and Janeth were wonderful, friendly and helpful! Janeth's cooking was amazing - we had 3 meals with them! They were even able to accommodate us as vegans and kept the menu fresh and delicious....I confess, although tasty - we were getting a bit tired of rice and beans as our only option...

We chose Moonracer because it was on the way to the Caracol ruins, was less expensive than many other lodges in the area and had positive reviews on Trip Advisor. Very glad we did. The lack of electricity added to the charm of the place. Being able to sleep without any outdoor lights and waking up with the natural day...

Our four night stay while in the Cayo District was amazing as we were surrounded by the Belizean jungle in one of the two cabins at Moonracer. It is several miles off the main highway on an uneven dirt road so our 4-wheel drive we rented was put to very good use. We arrived later than scheduled in the night...

So much has already been said about Moonracer Farm, but I have to add a few more comments, because we loved it so much! We stayed 5 nights, left feeling like family, and missed Janeth's cooking for the rest of our trip. Communication, tour arrangements and payment all easy and efficient. Farm grounds, dining area, food, setting just fantastic. The...

We stayed in this lodge for 5 nights at the end of april 2014. The place is very nice , you are in contact with the nature and it is fantastic. the lodge is owned by a couple of Americans and run by a belizean Family. You are in contact by mail with the owners (Tom and Marge) for reservations...

Moonracer is hard place to review—mainly because the owners and operators put so much of themselves into the place and make sure their guests are fully taken care of that it's hard to criticize a thing. As others have mentioned, it's a lot like a home stay experience. When we were there, we ate all our meals with Julio and...

It's no wonder that Moonracer Farm receives such consistently excellent reviews. Every aspect of our experience with it -- beginning with Marge's informative emails -- exceeded expectations, notwithstanding how high previous reviewers had set the bar. Every moment of our two nights and days there was absolutely delightful. Even though we arrived past midnight -- three hours later than expected...

“There is only one cabin with two rooms, separate entrances, but close quarters sharing a thin wall between rooms on the inside. They have wifi when they turn it on; it's slow I guess. We didn't use it much. The location is more what it isn't than what it is: natural, environmentally aware, understated brilliance. Look at the guest photos!”

“It is better to take all the lodge if you are a little group or a large family. Sharing the lodge with another couple coulee more annoying since the walls are very thin. This was the only negative point that i can underline.”
