We like this hotel. The elderly couple(s) running it are humorous and nice. Breakfast is all what you expect from a German hotel. Eggs were perfect and the Aufschnittsplatte excellent. We have stayed here several times - without booking. One can easily see from the parking lot if there are many guests or not. But, beware. If there are many...

Despite not looking to be great at first glance, this hotel is a great one. It's located near the main road, making it very accessible to travelers. The rooms are simple and it has what you need. There is a restaurant which has various dishes- fish, soup, omelettes, salads and the typical German cuisine. The breakfast is also very good....

I had a positive surprise after checking in. The staff/owners were really nice and made you feel welcome. Everything is old (rooms included), but very well kept. I think the restaurant was kind of retro in a good way. It really is ok for one-night pit-stop before/after the ferry. Maybe it could be a little cheaper during the summer months.

The hotel is very near to the jetty within few minutes drive. Hotel staff was very kind and helpful. She even upgraded our booking to a more comfortable room with no extra cost. The breakfast spread was very good and tasty too.Dinner was also at reasonsble price and the food was good too.

I wouldn't normally write a review about a place I have used merely for a brief pit stop, but I was so happy to find this place and so relieved to take a break from a long night-time drive that I thought I would let other travellers know about this place. I was driving through the night from London to...

Some people may regard this hotel as dull and dated, but it excellent value-for-money. Everywhere is super clean and the rooms are two or three times the size of most hotel rooms. It is very quiet and convenient for the ferry to Denmark. Breakfast & dinner were simple but good and not expensive. So, don't worry about the 1960s appearance...

Old building, but extremely close to the port (500mt). It is the only accommodation possibility in the area. The owner is actually very nice, he knows how to speak to clients. Rooms ok, but no WiFi available, only lobby and restaurant. When asked about the possibility of printing one document his wife replied "No, we don't offer that service". From...

The management of this hotel knows too well that they represent the only option close-by and that most of their guests have been driving for many hours, most probably already stropping several time without finding any available room and now reaching a level of desperation for finding whatever place to rest for a few hours; and trust me, the management...

Convenient, but outdated hotel. The rooms are roomy and clean, but should be totally renovated. The food in the restaurant is eatable but not enjoyably. Breakfast is ok. It is just by the harbour with big parking. The fields outside unfortunately smelled.

In a time warp. We arrived at 4am in the morning having left Copenhagen, well, the Roskilde festival, actually, and took the 3am ferry from Denmark to Germany. The intention had been to drive to Hamburg but I was shattered and just had to stop. Hand-written invoices and pre payment, £135 Euro to sleep from 4.30am to 10am. Breakfast would...
