Hotel Panorama is charming, has amazing views and Marcello, the owner made sure we had everything we needed. Situated at the top of Castelmola, it was bit of a distance to travel to but it was well worth it to find this gem. It's very affordable considering it is very near Taormina where hotels are around 200 euros. The hotel...

We discovered the Hotel Panorama di Sicilia thanks to a Groupon deal. The staff of the Hotel that is run by one family it was really helpful and kind. The breakfast was ok, with high quality croissants and good italian coffee. The structure of the Hotel would need some refurbishing, since it is quite old, although in good shape overall...

It is fair to say that the rooms are very basic and old-fashioned, but what made this hotel were the stunning views and friendly service. Our balcony overlooked Etna with views down to the coast - Giardini Naxos bay and surrounding area. It was amazing both during the day and at night. If you want modern facilities then this wouldn't...

The hotel is for me a unique place in the world. You enter climbing stairs with beautiful smelling flowers. Its situation on the top of the hill is seen from far when returning each night to a home place. In front of a stunning view to the Etna i liked to see Marcello preparing the breakfast tables from my balcony...

With Taormina packed in mid-august, we found this affordable place on booking, got in the car and went up, up, all the way to Castlemola. The hotel is old-fashioned but very clean, quiet and it has an amazing view on the terrace over the see and the volcano at the same time. The very village of Castelmola has incredible views....

During our holidays in Sicily we stayed for one night at this hotel. Our initial thoughts were to stay in Taormina but it was almost fully booked and the remaining vacancies had some ridiculous prices. The hotel was at the very end of the only one car accessible road and to get there was challenging and not for everybody. When...

When staying in Castelmola village there is only one hotel and it is this one. It is run by it's owner Marcello and his sin Igor, and the cleaning lady is his mother - they speak only italian. The room is dirty and full of dust. The furniture is desperate for replacement with the new. Walls are so thin that...

Salve. We marvel at what you have written, as it not only with you we behaved very well, and one night there or even accompanied him to Taormina with our car without making you pay for the trip (which I have wanted to leave a tip even though I did not want , but just accept it) but the fact...

Beautiful place with an unbeatable view. Marcello is a welcoming and gracious host, and the value was good. You can see Etna in the distance, and it's away from the tourism of nearby Taormina. Very highly recommended!

The hotel is a very good base for Taormina and Etna. However, the good days of the place are gone. It probably used to be a nice place. It is a bit worn off now. The view is just fabulous! Our kids enjoyed Etna every morning. Anyway, a good value in the Taormina area.

This is a no frills hotel. However, the view is to die for; there is a small balcony overlooking the ocean with Mt. Etna in the background. Marcello runs the place and speaks no English. However, he does everything in his power to satisfy requests. He also invited us to an after dinner drink each night that we came back...
