The hotel was nice and clean; the food was okay. It didn't offer much variety over the days so we got tired of it in a few days and started to visit the places on the beach. As other reviews mentioned, HM did run out...More
if you are a diver dont go,its not well setup for diving.rooms are a long walk, availability and variety of food and drinks not reliable, insect spraying at night is godawful and dangerous. i would suggest cocoview resort if you dive.

You can rent equipment from the dive shop on site. Coming down to the beach you will see a sign to the right that will point you to the dive shop. Renting is a fine idea if you just want to try it out, however if you want to snorkel everyday a couple of times then you would be further ahead to bring your own. Costco sells masks and snorkels fairly reasonably priced and they are decent enough for a beginner. If you are worried about luggage space and are coming in from Canada, Transat allows you to bring a sports bag for free so you can put your equipment in there rather than your suitcase. Hope this helps. I hope you love Roatan as much as I do. I miss it already.W.
