We came here for peace and nature. The house was well equipped, spacious, light and very clean. We loved sitting in front of the wood heater. Aaron was helpful and discreet. The hot tub under the stars was an added bonus! Bring all your food ( no shops) and enjoy kayaking on the lagoon or a walk up to the...

We absolutely loved our stay. Booked Queen Bed Room but due to a small problem we had to change rooms. The owner managed everything professionally in a calm manner. He is a very kind guy. Felt homely. Shared kitchen was great to meet fellow travellers! Would send all my friends there and return if I can!

Stayed in the rimu house which has had a reno in the kitchen since we were last there so it looks better. We had the bedroom off the kitchen with ensuite. The bed was really comfortable and while the ensuite was small it had the necessary things in it. If you stay in this room beware the sliding door to...

We hadn't realised when we booked that there are three or four double rooms in the one accommodation and you share the lounge and kitchen facilities. Once over that the accommodation is fine, though the bedrooms are medium sized and the overall feel of a little tattered. Now, the important bit, the nature of the accommodation actually suits the overall...

We stayed in the 'Hutel', which is a rustic cabin with a private deck, small bathroom and small kitchen area. There are no restaurants or grocery stores, so you must bring your own food. If you like to be off the beaten tourist path and surrounded by beautiful nature, then this is the place for you. Beautiful beach with crashing...

Okarito is a wonderful place to chill. Experienced the beach on a calm day and a very windy day - both were stunning. The Okarito Beach House is clean with well set up kitchens. Good beds and decent linens. The first house we stayed in needed more seating space for the number of guest in the cottage. Aryn was friendly...

This self-catering property has an excellent location, as Okarito is a beautiful place to enjoy nature with very few other tourists around. The kitchen was large, and we very much enjoyed our time here.

Just the one night, 3 bed cottage suited us well. No food outlets in town so you need to come prepared (which we were) - kitchen well equipped. Inner bathroom needs airing. Nice village by the coast, easy to drive past, but a pleasnt place to stop.

Great little place, spacious private balcony was nice. The bed was large and room was clean. Water pressure in the shower wasn't great but bathroom was otherwise practical. Having cookware and crockery provided was also great and essential as Okarito has no shops so we were able to cook our meals in our room.

Very friendly owner, nice rooms, very cute little house, fast internet, free laundry. It's the perfect place to stay here in this region, especially when you go on the Kiwi Tour. I'm glad we've got a room!!
