When I mentioned this to the proprietor, I was give 3 different excuses, first the labourer had forgotten to fill the tanks, then farm was using all the water for irrigation and finally...

Management response:

It was very unfortunate that the cottages had no water pressure on the Sunday. The lodge was full and no-one else had any problem during the weekend. It is a working wine farm and water gets used for irrigation and it was thought that might have been part of the problem. Guests stayed there the previous few days and there...

We wanted somewhere half way between Cape Town and Paternoster but wanted the stay in the mountains. Manley Wine Lodge was exactly what we wanted, quiet, amazing scenery and the most welcoming staff. Breakfast by Michael was perfect, just enough to keep us going for the day. We ate at the resorts restaurant in the evening, the Sirloin was exceptional....

My husband and I booked in at Manley Wine Lodge for a two-night stay last week. The lodge is nice, and our room was spacious and comfortable. What surprised us was the breakfast: we were asked what we'd like, but in the next breath told that there was muesli but no fresh fruit and no yoghurt. Apparently the fresh fruit...

Spacious lovely rooms with little extras like bottled mineral water and candles! The fireplace looked amazing but it was just too warm to use. Next time... Really comfy beds, nice big bathroom. And the pool was awesome.

The rooms at Manley Wine Lodge are spacious and well equipped with tea and coffee. They have a nice fireplace as well. The restaurant is very accommodating and offers really good food. The chef is excellent This place is highly recommended. There are resident owls in the tree by the restaurant which is absolutely wonderful to see.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Thrilled to have had a fireplace in our large room on such a cold weekend and the bath was a very welcome surprise. (A lot of hotels only have showers these days.) Beauriful setting, and great breakfasts, thank you.
