An elegant and historic house conveniently located about one mile from the Iron Bridge. Ample parking at the house and an easy walk into the centre of the town. A great base from which to visit all the fascinating Ironbridge museums. The proprietors went out of their way to make us feel at home. We stayed in upstairs rooms in...

We enjoyed an excellent stay at Calcutts House. The host James, welcomed us as we arrived and carried our luggage to our room in the coach house. He then made us a cup of tea served on the patio and filled us in on local restaurants and pubs and gave us the info we needed to walk into Ironbridge itself....

This is a beautiful guest with friendly and welcoming owners. It is ideally positioned for visiting the bridge, victorian town and museums of iron bridge, Shropshire. Some are within walking distance, others a few minutes by car. Breakfast was superb! Definitely the best B&B/Guest house we have been to in the UK. Reasonable prices as well. Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely room, a tad small but at £55 a night it was fine. For something more glamorous ask for a lower floor room in the Coach House. Fabulous breakfast and friendly host. A great place to stay if you are exploring Shropshire.

As the title says, it is often the little things that make a big difference. From being greeted at the hotel door by name to the make up removal wipes provided in the bathroom (for my wife, not me, honest). It was a truly delightful one night stay. The host offered to make a cup of tea/coffee upon our arrival,...

Fantastic place to stay, beautiful area and great location. Great hosts and very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was very good and cooked to perfection. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the Coach House which was great for what we wanted, compact but perfectly adequate. Great pubs in the area. Totally recommend this place to stay.

Stayed here with my husband in the converted coach house. It was comfortable but rather cold. Breakfast was lovely and the host charming. Calcutta House is on the outskirts of Iron Bridge but it has a convenient car park at the back. I would stay again if I was in the area.

Such a pretty house and very relaxing. I didn't spend much time in the house but I would definitely go back. The only thing I might say is that it got a bit cold in the night after the heating went off but other than that no problem. The shower was good and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was lovely....

Calcutts House is in a convenient position to explore this area, and the Ironbridge itself is about 15 mins walk away. The property has a large car park at rear which is really handy. On arriving, we were warming welcomed by James and had tea and coffee in the lounge, given handy local info and given our keys. We stayed...

A lovely family run upmarket b&b in a delightful area. We arrive mid afternoon Saturday for a one night stay. The genial host made us fresh tea and coffee and gave us advice about the local area and local eateries. The room we had chosen was the William Hazeldine room with a Louis XV reproduction bed and some complementing furniture,...
