This hotel by the river is simply amazing. Only its concept of ephemeral and unique constructions is worth going there. The main hotel structure is built with ice and "snice" (mix of snow and ice) and each room is built by a different artist, which makes every stay unique. This place melts down when the weather gets warmer and is...

What an amazing experience the Icehotel is!!! The hotel itself is magnificent, the rooms are incredible and it is an absolute must see. We did the tour of all the rooms and I have to admit I was a little disappointed that we opted for the "northern lights room" which was not one of the artistic rooms. But once I...

Have just returned from 3 days at the Icehotel in Jukkasjarvi, Sweden, and I have to say it was once of the best - and most fun! - experiences of my life. I went with my family as a surprise for my mum's 60th and we had an absolute ball! Yes it's expensive and no it's not all that glamorous...

What a truly amazing experience! Words cannot describe this hotel. The facilities are more than adequate & the food is very good. The Ice rooms are amazing and everyone who goes there must experience one night sleeping in a room...You may think it is freezing (it is!!) but is a lot warmer than it looks. There is also lots of...

We travelled via Stockholm...and I must point out here the flight arrived into Stockholm from Heathrow at terminal 5 and the connecting flight to Kiruna departed from terminal 4....it...

Discover The World planned & tailored our trip. 2.5hrs from London. Greeted by Steve our tour guid We arrived in Kiruna Airport and landed on the snow no problem in -15 temperature. A short walk to the terminal and already a photo opportunity. Into the smallest terminal ever and out in 15 minutes, greeted by The Ice Hotel Girls in...

Unique and hard to get to, the IceHotel is a great experience! You have to expect that you are going to spend a lot of money and live a Socialist aesthetic for the right to stay in an artistic fantasy! The fun! started with our late night arrival and dragging our bags to a "warm" room in 10F conditions. Basic...

We stayed in a Kaamos room for 3 nights. The room is simple and clean. There is a shower with basic shampoo and hand wash available (no conditioner). Towels are very small and thin. Beds are twin beds. There is a hanging rail and boot rail for all your wet outdoor clothes. Then a wardrobe for all your normal clothes....

This hotel is not like anywhere else and you have to adapt your expectations. Expect to pay a small fortune. It is a ridiculous amount of money for a three-day trip, but it was a bucket-list experience and we are so glad we went. We only had two nights here after one in Abisko. We were able to get the...
