The room was a reasonable size, the bed extremely comfortable and the shower hot and strong! The welcome was warm and friendly and staff were genuinely helpful. We were staying there for a wedding and I was a bit put out to be charged £15 extra in order to check in at 12.00 rather than 3.00 which we needed to...

Hi Angeladaly2015 Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review - we really appreciate it. We're extremely pleased to hear that your room lived up to your expectations. We understand that it is a little annoying to have to pay for an early check-in but, as you can imagine, our housekeepers have a lot of work to do...

We arrived at 7 on Sat evening to be told that the executive room we booked was unavailable because the air-con was broken. We were offered a small, noisy , hot and very dark room instead. There was a wedding party going on and there was no parking available . This is an 11 bed hotel and there are over...

Had to stop over on business for just the one night. Very welcoming staff, and a comfortable stay. Room was fairly large and good pressure on the shower. Breakfast was simple and partly self service, but all was clean, and efficient - poached eggs were the best I have ever had - and I have stayed in some very swanky and...

This hotel provided acceptable overnight accommodation in connection with an evening business commitment in the town centre. Overall I would not rate it higher than OK. The bed mattress was very firm - bordering on hard / uncomfortable. Normally I can sleep anywhere although the bed in this hotel did not give me a good nights rest. The room was...

A great little hotel to stay in Berkhamsted. We were in the area to go to the Gatsby restaurant for dinner (a great place). This hotel is the opposite end of the high st to the Gatsby but is still just a 10-15min stroll down the high street The hotel itself has friendly welcoming staff, the rooms are quirky in...

Stayed here for 1 night on a business trip. It is a old hotel with nice rooms. The staff is very friendly. Room are spacious, clean, big bed and a decent bathroom. It is a bit hard to find as the entrance is in the back not at the mainstreet. There is a restaurant + bar but that is not...

Hi Rifvisje Thanks for taking the time to post a review from your business trip stay. We're delighted you were happy with the room being spacious and clean - and whilst The Kings Arms is recommended for Lunch and Dinner, it's only a short walk down the highstreet and this also offers a chance to get out to see Berkhamsted...

We stayed at the hotel while visiting relatives in Berkhamsted. First of all, the downside is finding it. The location maps show it on the High Street, when in fact it is hidden behind the Giggling Squid Restaurant. That aside it is a very pleasant small boutique hotel. Our ensuite room was spacious, well maintained with a large comfortable double...

I stayed here with my husband before we travelled to London for an event. We struggled to find the car park initially but once we did we were not disappointed.
