I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! Excellent location: groceries, restaurants, and beach walkable; hourly shuttle to beach plus free access to loungers. Beach is really lovely - lots of loungers, lots of shade, calm waters. No pushy salespeople Beach tip: Get a rum-in-the-coconut! Five or six types of rum plus a paper straw for only $10! Excellent value: get breakfast included (it is a huge buffet with hot items rotating daily (there's a schedule in the dining area); free beach shuttle with access to loungers is awesome! Activity Tips: attend the orientation (it's not a sales pitch) to learn about the beach shuttle and ask questions about excursions. Be sure to ask about the Friday night jump party shuttle. Take the beach shuttle on day one and ask at the beach resort for their schedule of events (e.g. yoga, pilates) - you can participate in those for free too. You can use all non-motorized water stuff for free (e.g. paddleboards, kayaks) and even use the Hobie cat mini sailboat for free with just a $35 lesson. Pay attention to where happy hours are (the resort and the hotel have different happy hour days/times) Room Tip: Go for a 'deluxe' room if you can afford it (they are a lot bigger and nicer and have balconies and black-out curtains which the basic room didn't have) - I took a pic of basic king and deluxe king so you can see the difference. All rooms have a fridge. All rooms have a safe but you have to ask for the lock at the front desk (we thought it was broken) Great eco-friendliness: has a water bottle filling station, doesn't use disposable cups, has dispensers for hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. Note: gym at hotel is really small and not well equipped BUT you can use the gym at the beach resort for free and also attend their exercise classes - be sure to ask at front desk for a schedule.…
We just returned from beautiful St. Lucia. Our stay at the Bay Gardens Hotel was everything we had hoped for. The Croton Suite kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast (we did not do the all-inclusive plan) and the living room and bedroom were quite comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. The housekeeping staff cleaned daily and did a great job. The property has 3 pools and one of the pools (with a waterfall) was a 20 step walk from our small patio. Cheryl, Austin, and all of the front desk staff were incredibly helpful to help us with dinner reservations, scheduling our departure Covid tests and anything else we needed. The shuttle to the Beach Resort (5 minutes away) was frequent and drivers were friendly and helpful. The Bay Gardens Beach Resort did an informative orientation for new guests. The beach was beautiful and non-motorized and motorized sports were available. We tried Big Mabel the boat pulled couch and had a blast. I would certainly recommend this hotel and will be back!…
Beautifully located to shopping malls, groceries, restaurants, free shuttle to the beach and watersport activities, conceirge desk assistance with tours was always helpful , he even made my reservation at big chef steakhouse for me, and he was very friendly. Check in and check out was a breeze, staff were very friendly and warm especially restaurant staff, (Sanjay to be exact) but all were helpful and polite, front desk receptionist was polite especially Naimah, she was very friendly, and security guards were all helpful and friendly. Overall the hotel is well kept, rooms were cleaned and replenished everyday, pools were enjoyable, it was very relaxing and enjoyable, will definitely be visiting again and highly recommend.
Our stay was very pleasant. We stayed in a suite, which included a full kitchen. Room was clean and spacious. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet variety on mornings. So many options to cater to all tastes. Only drawback was the crab we found in our room early one morning.
This hotel is conveniently located next to Rodney Bay, which is why we selected it. It is walking distance, which allowed us the convenience to walk and shop and also walk and eat at different restaurants daily. The room was comfortable enough, there there could be some upgrades to the facilities to modernize it. The room was also close to the pool which my daughter enjoyed. Our package included buffet breakfast which we enjoyed. The variety was good on a daily basis and we had no complaints about it. I definitely recommend this hotel to others, especially if you want to be close to one of the busiest areas in St. Lucia.
It’s very confusing to figure out the different names online, so I wasn’t sure if Resort, Hotel & Inn were separate places or names used interchangeably - they’re all separate. The Bay Gardens Resort is a 10-15 walk or 5-minute inter-hotel shuttle drive away from the Bay Gardens Hotel, which is also next door to the Bay Gardens Inn. The Resort is by far the better option and most guests at the Hotel and Inn seemed to prefer spending more time at the Resort because it’s on the beach - the Hotel and Inn aren’t on the beachfront. Resort staff were the most friendly of the 3 and the food was also better - I actually hated the English breakfast at the Hotel, which was the only thing available. I literally ate bread and cheese every morning. The Hotel is ok to stay as it’s close to the city centre with a lot of food places, bars and clubs, but in terms of the ambience at the place itself, it’s not amazing, but having inclusive free access to the Resort makes up for it, I guess.…
So many options for such a reasonale price! We went over Christmas week-end with our college-aged son for more of an adventurous vibe, so we stayed inland at this smaller sister property which is a quick shuttle ride or 10 min walk to the larger Bay Gardens beach resort. We had full access to amenties there as well. Also, I learned from reviews and friends who had been here that the Rodney Bay/Gros Islet area is safe and amenible to wandering off the resort. If we can return, we'd attend the weekly Friday night street party in this area. The pools at this property are smaller but beautiful and well maintained. The rooms are plain, however knowing this is a 3 star hotel, not 5 star, I wasn't expecting them to be huge. I noticed some lower reviews regarding this, but....comparing apples to apples, it was evident that this property is well cared for by a large and attentive staff. We chose all inclusive-- an absolutely amazing value with tons of drink options, great buffets, and plenty of variety. The quality of the food and drinks here was just.so.good!! If we return, we would pick this location again... …
What an amazing holiday on such a beautiful island and in a wonderful hotel! Just home and couldn’t wait to write this. From the moment we checked in to our departure we were made to feel so welcome. Rooms were perfect for us ( garden view near middle pool) and the beds were really comfortable. Fara our room attendant was brilliant and looked after us well. Every day we came back to fresh towels and an immaculately clean room. Tea and coffee is provided in room so for me that was a bonus and Fara kept this replenished. All of the staff are amazing and work so hard, always smiling and happy to help. There are too many to mention but Danela and Nathaniel on reception, Terry, Quincy, Lilly, Malcolm, Debbie, Charley, to name just a few - they all go that extra mile. Ms Gustave, the General Manager, was welcoming and friendly, even securing a last minute reservation for us at Sea Grapes restaurant over at the Beach Resort for a meal that was outstanding. The shuttle bus service is excellent and will also drop you off and pick you up from another location should you wish (some places it’s not maybe such a good idea to walk). We stayed on an All Inclusive package through British Airways and I can’t fault it. No queueing up like a school canteen with constant scraping of chairs. Choice is from a menu and all good. The dining room is lovely. Unlike some hotels there is no allotted meal time ( I dislike this immensely so one happy bunny). We did not use the main pool but the other two which were lovely, as was the plunge pool. In peak season there may be a struggle for sunbeds but I think that more can be provided on request. There are also plenty of tables/chairs in front of the Croton Suites. I could go on forever but will end by saying that we have enjoyed an amazing holiday in a lovely hotel where nothing was too much trouble for anyone. As I was told “Maximum chill Mrs Dalton!”. So right, so absolutely right! Thank you all, have a wonderful Christmas and I truly would love to come back. …
We had a very comfortable stay. Room was always well kept. Meals were satisfying. Staff were polite and willing to assist if necessary. Thanks to Nima for the warm welcome at check-in. Thanks to the other front desk staff who were friendly. Thanks also to Ms Cheryl the GM, Ms Helena and Ms Jennifer. Thank you Bay Gardens. Shirma
What a little gem of a hotel. After reading some of the recent reviews I was a little apprehensive but I needn't have worried. Yes the hotel could do with a little updating here and there but for the price you pay it's an absolute find. Part of a small group of hotels it operates an hourly free shuttle bus between their properties. We used this most days to go to their beach hotel. Our room was large and spacious, the bathroom a little tired but perfectly functional and clean. The beds were comfortable, there's plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, very efficient air-conditioning unit and a good sized terrace with chair and table. We were on all inclusive and although you have to take breakfast in the hotel your other meals (and drinks) can be taken at the other properties as well. Breakfast was good, not the best I've ever had but perfectly adequate and apart from the small buffet you can order omelettes etc which were very good, the coffee was also very good! We had lunch and dinner there a few times too and the food was very good if a bit samey. You change it up by having some meals at the other hotels. There is a filtered chilled water machine near the bar and restaurant to fill your water bottles which is really useful and saves asking for more plastic bottled water from the bar. But by far the best thing about this hotel are the staff, they work tirelessly (in that wonderful laid back Caribbean style) to ensure you have a wonderful stay. We had a couple of little issues with our rooms which on both occasions someone was there to resolve it within 5 minute of reporting. For 3 star prices you are getting a total gem of a hotel but if you want a 5 star flawless property you can pay 5 star prices elsewhere! I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and I have no doubt I will be back, hopefully sooner rather than later. …
