Cola beach is slowly getting commercialised which is really sad. There was a time when hardly couple of people use to be seen there. Regarding Blue Lagoon, it is nice location wise as it is exactly at the beach or lagoon but the price that they ask for is not at all fine. Lagoon and sea facing room hardly had any sea facing to it.Bed mattress was the worst. Had sleepless nights. Very poor quality mattress. There are no table lamps, no proper cupboard, no hot water for bathing. The lighting in the room is so poor. Its just one bulb which hardly illuminates the whole room. The room wall has holes in it which is a concern because wherever you stay you need privacy in terms of atleast staying in your own room! There were lot of ants in the bathroom and BIG SPIDERS in the bathroom. The…
Paradise for us, gorgeous wood cabins, great bathroom, big comfy beds, (cool for sleeping), lovely food with lots of choice. Terrific location of cabins directly overlooking the sea or the lagoon and sea. Safe places for sea swimming, but it's the staff who make it so good. All the same faces each year, so helpful thoughtful and cheery. They are a delight. The only downside is the horrific track to get there. Treacherous, steep, rutted, rocky suitable only for 4 X 4's.
Beautiful beach but expected a little more from this place considering the high price we paid. Huts were not so cozy (only one lamp, bright white hospital like lighting). There was no mosquito net even though it was completely open above the door. We got sick from eating dinner at their restaurant (really sick) and when we tried to give feedback about this, the staff just denied it and made excuses instead of listening or just apologizing. Not professional.
We stayed here for one night for something different from our main hotel whilst in Goa. Rustic simplicity is the best way to describe the setting and the accommodation. We saw more than one type of bungalow on offer - initially viewing the basic option but deciding on the deluxe bungalow- the main difference is the bathroom and AC. The basic option is all you need but there is no hot water, however they will bring you a vat of hot water for the shower on request. The pillows and bed were less luxurious and there is no air con. The basic option itself, due to it’s construction, is not totally sealed so there are small gaps between the wood however we did not see bugs around and about so that’s not a concern. The deluxe option does have air con although ours did not work…
Visited many places in Goa and we absolutely loved our few days at the Blue Lagoon and struggle to find anything that could be improved. We had a Premium Sea View villa and it was worth it for the view alone. We could sit on the deck with an uninterrupted view of the glorious sunsets every evening and sun bathe during the day. The lovely restaurant staff, Suris, Rakesh and co, were constantly walking up and down asking if we would like food or drinks so we felt very pampered. The rooms were great - very clean , king size bed with real mattress so had a great nights sleep listening to the waves. Shower was cold water but good pressure and really refreshing. The food in the restaurant was extremely reasonably priced and very tasty. Sitting overlooking the sea we actually…
