Detailed Reviews
We chose this B&B for Its location to both the south coast Carmarthen and Pembrokeshire coastlines, as well as the access to the Ceredigion coast and mid Wales towns and villages. It would be suitable for cyclists and walkers as it is in a rural area with country lanes off the main roads, but with easy access for business travellers and holidaymakers that like us like moving around the various seaside and scenic areas. The location is quiet, with big dark skies, on a clear night you are spoilt for stargazing!
We stayed midweek for 4 nights. We were met by the owner with a smile and an attitude that nothing is too much trouble, check in was really easy and we were given fresh milk for our room, plus, up in the room were four fresh homemade Welsh tea cakes with the usual teas and coffees, lovely.
Every morning we were greeted for breakfast with Tracy’s engaging personality (boy can she laugh!) and just the biggest full English I’ve eaten for a while, everything seemed local and of good quality. the rooms are large enough to be comfortable and recently decorated very tastefully, as was the bathroom with a good power shower. The bed is very comfortable and the sheets thick cotton and great quality feel. We slept well every night,we had great conversations and left on the Friday with a new friend. We’ll visit again.

When we arrived at Gwynfryn we were greeted by a very welcoming Tracey, wearing a mask as per COVID guidelines. We chatted for a short time and was then taken to our room, (I think Penwhar?). It was a lovely sized, beautifully decorated room with a lovely en-suite . Tracey certainly has a great eye for detail. The colours that she used were perfect. In the bathroom there were lovely toiletries in a really nice box.. comfortable bed, and lovely furniture. The view of the countryside, from our dual aspect windows was stunning.
Breakfast, yet again, was well cooked and presented , and plentiful
I would recommend Gwynfryn to anyone wanting to visit this area.

We stayed recently for 3 nights, our room was upgraded to a beautifully spacious one with its own seating area. The host, Tracey and her daughter were unfailingly friendly, and helpful, you could not have asked for a warmer welcome. The breakfast menu was amazing with everything you could ask for from the full English to freshly made pancakes and omelettes to order.I could not write a more positive recommendation .

Our stay was brilliant. Freshly cooked breakfast was delicious, piping hot and very tasty. There were lots of cold options, including fresh fruit. The room was very spacious with a shower ensuite. All of the guest house was very clean. Tracey was very kind and welcoming. She was very helpful with information about the local area. Definitely recommend staying here 😀

Wonderful B&B. Rooms are very modern, comfortable, cosy with excellent bathrooms. Beautiful views from windows. Room 4 has an extra window which was a lovely surprise. Free wifi available which works well.
You’re offered a wide selection of breakfast options cooked by your host Tracy who is a chef which, when found out, explained the 5 star food quality!
Every touch has been thought of here and there’s even a honesty shop with items you can buy for a donation to a Cerebral Palsy charity.
Parking is good and only steps away from the front door. There is a staircase to rooms but our grandparents found this ok as there id a sturdy railing.
Pub right next door is delicious and convenient.

This place is great.
The rooms are lovely, stylish and spotlessly clean.
Lots of choice for breakfast, I chose the vegetarian which was top drawer and the tomatoes were actually cooked properly and not raw!
Tracy is a wonderful host, I hope we get to stay again in the future.

Avoid, poor customer service and lack of responce once i had an issue to discuss. I had to cancel as my parents now have to self isolate, I informed the guest house but was just a few hours outside of the cancellation policy (5 days notice). I requested to waive the cancellation charges as we can no longer make it and this was denied. I was worried about booking a weekend away in the current climate and this is why, it wasn't done last minute it was 4.8 days prior to the booking.

This was the first BnB I’ve stayed at for a very long time and I wish they were all like this. We had a great room, very large, modern and comfortable, and the mattress guaranteed a sound sleep. Tracy was very nice and helpful, the epitomy of a professional host, and the breakfasts were very large and filling, setting us up for the day. Couldn’t have asked for more. A quiet location but with the beaches only a short drive away. Don’t hesitate to book!

Tracy is very welcoming and her B&B is spotlessly clean. The decoration is bright and light. My room was very comfortable and had views over some fields. The place is quiet and the beds comfy. Plus my room had a great shower.
Breakfast is freshly cooked and Tracy offers a wide range of options.
Very good value for money, plus the place is easy to find and has good parking.
