We had a perfect stay at this lodge. Everything from the staff, to the rooms, the bird life and the food was excellent. We had room #11 (Deluxe Riverview) and loved it for it's privacy. We had 2 hammocks and we spent a lot of time in them watching the birds. Make sure you get up for the 6:30am bird...

Just getting to the Black Rock Lodge is an adventure. Staying in the Rain Forest for several days, was very memorable. The suite, facilities and staff were all wonderful. Dining was designed to be a social event, mixing guest’s seating nightly, allowing different guests to share their experiences. In July it was a little warm at night but quite acceptable...

Black Rock is amazing! We had such a great time. Of all the places we went in Belize, this is the one we will come back to. We stayed in a riverview cabin, and it was comfortable and had a great view, loved the deck with the hammocks. We were able to see lots of birds right from the deck....

My husband and I stayed here for three nights after spending some time at the coast. Can't say enough good things about this place, our host, the staff, the setting, the things one can do. The views are stunning, the lodge a remote retreat away from it all. We hiked, went to a Mayan ruin, took a Mayan chocolate tour,...

This was the 3rd stop on our 2 week honeymoon and we stayed for 4 nights, and the ride to the hotel is a 20minute off-road ride through the jungle where you are thinking "is there even anything out here?", and when you arrive you are just astonished with the beautiful property. First off, I cannot say enough positive things...

We spent four nights at the lodge and had a fine time. We had our own beautiful cabin by the river close to the lodge. The lodge had an excellent bird feeder where woodcreepers, woodpeckers and even a toucan feasted on cut fruit. The pool was as tiny as it could be but the view of the river through hummingbird...

We booked this lodge for four nights to accommodate our three families with diverse interests, from rock climbing to Mayan ruins to cave tubing to birding and butterfly watching. Although you do have to pay extra for off-site activites (as shown on their website), there was a lot to see and do without leaving the lodge if you are into...

A phenomenal trip with 2 grandparents and 2 13-year old granddaughters. The Lodge is great, but the people are what makes it so fantastic. We crammed a huge amount in in a short period, largely because the staff is knowledgeable, beyond helpful and wonderfully outgoing. There is much to do: birding, hiking, horseback riding, Mayan ruins, tubing, canoeing... Undoubtedly, it...

This place is incredible and the staff really make it that way. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure that your stay is nothing short of amazing. The rooms were impeccably clean and beautiful. The guides were extremely knowledgeable, fun, and willing to let you plan your day's schedule any way you pleased. If I could have redone...

I don't have enough nice things to say about Black Rock Lodge. We stayed for a week and it was so marvelous - we could have stayed for another week without getting bored. Black Rock made our vacation so easy - all we had to do was tell them what we wanted to do and they made it happen. The...
