First thing you notice about this homestay is honesty and sincerity. Promised is delivered. Unlike many other homestays which look and feel gorgeous on the net only to be disappointingly different in reality, Sattva is as it is. This theme of honesty and sincerity continues with rooms, food and service which is refreshingly simple. Rooms are basic but sufficient, food is uncomplicatedly delicious and best part is the service, which is unobtrusively efficient. Entire homestay is tastefully done retaining the local flavor. For those who are interested in gardening they have nearly 75 Bonsai plants and plenty of flowering and fruit plants in the compound. Experience at Sattva is made pleasant and enjoyable by simple hosts Prabhakar and Kavitha by their caring, ever smiling service. Its a perfect place to put your legs up and do nothing.

A small paradise cradled in the lap of nature, that’s Sattva for you. We are fortunate that we fixed on this homestay over others. Such warm, humble hosts. Right from the moment we set our foot there, till our stay, they ensured we felt at home. Be it the fresh homemade pineapple juice served as welcome drink, the delicious home-cooked delicacies that graced the table during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or the freshly baked cakes, we were spoilt for choice. We noted down some of the recipes too. The property has an amazing view of the Western Ghats. We actually cut on our plans for sightseeing and stayed back to enjoy the serenity of the place. We loved the fact that we were disconnected from the hustle-bustle of the city, making time to experience the beauty of nature. Thank you Shraddha, Kavita aunty and Prabhakar uncle for making our stay so wonderful. We really cherished it.

Nice home stay situated in mid of coffee plantation. Dont expect resort like amenities & facilities but hosts Mr & Mrs Prabhakar personally supervise to make the stay comfortable. Best part is u get home cooked local malnad delicacies which is very tasty. Getting Network & wifi could be tricky, Vodafone has no network at all.

Overrated! Not worth for 3500/day/person.
Normally resorts with all meals, good view and activity will charge this price. This just like an Homestay.
People have to come here to breakfast/dinner at desciplened timings like school kids! Better you have school bell or alarm for your timings ! Not good for people want to spend time in the stay 😫 Good for senior citizens and quite/boring people.
Food was pathetic! They given starters which were all fried and oily. You have squeeze oil from samosas/ bread pakodas to have it. Moreover many who booze won’t prefer oily things to eat. Food quality they offer is minimal and not sufficient. They cook whichever they are capable of and can experiment with people! They use low quality rice to make hard lemon rice. How can hardcore chitranna lovers can eat this ?
They serve food or anything till 8.30 pm and they close doors and want to escape from our words.
No water from taps, water leak from roof! And, one of us had a baby and insects were entering - we spent a bit of time to threw them out.
Don’t get fooled by the google reviews as were written by their own people!
They just made few rooms and running a Homestay to make money and no hospitality kept in mind!
Spoiled our weekend at the stay.

My wife and I spent two nights in Sattva. It was truely a wonderful and relaxing experience. Prabhakar, the owner, and his daughter Shraddha took good care of our needs and came up with interesting Karnataka cuisine for all our meals. They are great conversationalists too and not at all intrusive. The property is well maintained. The room that we were allotted was spacious and had a patio with a view of the mountain. In the mornings we would wake up with the chirping of the birds. For bird watchers, this place is a heaven. We regretted not carrying our binoculars. A walk in the estate is a must. I got to learn so much about trees and coffee. Prabhakar is very knowledgeable about whatever is growing. He has painstakingly taken care of the trees and plants for nearly 35 years now. We saw hoofmarks of Indian Gaur. Wild boar is also apparently seen in the area. Sattva is 18 kms from town and so the silence is deafening. Just read a book or sleep while you are at Sattva. Shraddha was kind enough to share her lunch on the day we checked in as we couldn't find a good restaurant on our way to Sattva.

It is kind of a homestay. The owners of the property stay in the same campus.
Very courteous and warm hosts.
It is like feel at home on a vacation. The food is home cooked and tastes great. It's fresh and warm.
It is in Avathi and not chikkamangluru city.
It was a good experience.

If you are someone who likes to eat limited food.. wakeup at 8 and have dinner by 08.30 and sleep this is the place you should go
This place is for someone who doesn't want to relax but follow the same routine.
They don't give proper food.. it's not a retreat it's just a regular homestay which is highly rated and where the guests are very lowly treated. I know you guys delete this review and might have deleted similar review because you can't keep or provide the visiters true to what has written or shared over message.
Overall a bad experience for us. Food options are very less and very bad hospitality. If you guys want to visit better stay there without food options bcz it's worthless to pay extra amount
Overall,
1. It's a nice place amidst greenery.
2. Food is not good and there are no good food options
3.Room quality is ok ok.
4. The property owners hospitality is not that good.
5. You can visit this stay if you are someone who loves taking photos, making videos. Not for someone who has to go relax, eat well.

A wonderful homestay nestled within the coffee plantations of Chikmagaluru. Extremely clean, close to mulayanagiri, bhadra forest reserve, Shringeri, Horanadru and Agumbe. The hosts Mrs. Kavitha and Mr Prabhakar are just amazing. The highlight of our stay was the food and our coffee time conversations with Kavitha Aunty and Prabhakar Uncle. 4 freshly cooked meals a day with unlimited - mind blowing coffee. :)
Probably the best homestay we have been to. Look forward to our next visit soon. :)

Google map: Accurate. Download it while in network area.
Paid activities: Trek, BBQ.
Time to go: All round the year but should avoid the trek in monsoon.
USPs: Hospitality, food, cleanliness, surroundings, trek.

The absolute definition of "home away from home" was understood during our stay here at the Sattva. The hospitality was over whelming. The food is simply superb. The rooms and the complete property is very well maintained. The view is good and refreshing.
