I really enjoyed my stay at this excellent hotel,Ken and Caroline made me feel really at home with their fantastic hospitality,the service was exceptional and everyone was very kind,would definitely recommend this venue for a very welcome stay.

Stayed here with my husband as we were in the area taking part in tough mudder. Lovely building, room big and clean and had a great night sleep. Had a really good family sunday lunch here today. Meals were a good size, my ten year old had a half portion which she really enjoyed. it was beef and pork, roast potatoes, mash, vegetables. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Our room was a good size and had a sofa for added comfort and it was kept spotlessly clean. The beds were super comfortable and we slept well. Had a lovely meal worth the money i paid for it the staff where very friendly and also child friendly. It was in a quite area. There was a big car park the gardens where nice. The hotel is a 10 minute drive to Dumfries and half hour to Carlisle.

Great family run hotel with excellent food and hospitality. Salt and pepper chicken stir fry was spot on. Even have their own friendly bar dog! Relaxing stay and Ken the owner a smashing host. Excellent base 5 minutes from Dumfries and not far from motorway.

Booked last minute for the Steak Night (Friday) . even although we live 5 minutes away we hadnt been to the Manor for a long time. We will certainly be back very soon. Excellent meal great value for money and the staff were lovely. Thank you..See you soon.

The Manor Hotel & Restaurant is situated in the village of Torthorwald, near Dumfries, and is easily accessible on the A709 some 8 miles from the Lockerbie junction on the main North/South M74 Motorway and also 2 miles from the A75 Gretna to Stranraer/Irish ferries trunk road just off the Dumfries by-pass. The hotel consists of seven rooms and are all en-suite. The Criffel Family Room is especially popular as this can sleep two adults and 3/4 children. Free wi-fi is available and the hotel has its own large car park. There is also a beer garden for the warmer weather.
