Clean hotel and spacious rooms. Tasty food. We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Good location. Front desk is very helpful. Hotel Manager Gopal Dev is very helpful. He booked elephant and jeep safari for us. Hassle free stay.
An excellent and cozy resort with good spacious and clean rooms, tasty food and attentive service. It is conveniently located opposite to the central range (Kohora gate) and in front of the Aranya hotel. Just a five minutes walk from the bus stand on the main road. Deluxe room cost us 3300 rupees with breakfast. The hotel is quiet, green, peaceful. The front desk takes care of all safaris (jeep safari is available at all time, elephant safari to be requested the day before: INR 950 per head) Network is a bit dodgy inside the rooms.
We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The room was large and comfortable, while the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. It was almost like a home stay. We were very satisfied with the service. Price was very reasonable. Location was prime right in the middle of the hotspots. Minor drawback was absence of heater in the room. Overall, a very good experience.
We stayed 2 nights at Jonaki kareng. Rooms were spacious, clean. Bathroom was ok. Front desk is very much helpful. The main up gradation is required in restaurant. You have to order well before your lunch or dinner time. Food is very tasty although option is very less. An electric kettle must be provided in all rooms.
Rooms are quiet big but the look and feel of it is very old .. Bathrooms are very spacious and has a sliding door.. Cons: 1. Outside noise is clearly audible inside the room. 2. The passage light enters the room and hits right on your face while sleeping which makes it difficult to sleep. 3. Poor customer service. Lot of instances which suggested they were not customer oriented.. The other guests were playing the music loudly at 10pm the next day we had to wake up early morning at 5 to take the elephant ride.. Requested the hotel staff to inform the guest to reduce the volume as it was audible in our room.. The staff informed that they cannot inform the other guest to reduce the volume and instead suggested us that we should try sleeping.. 4. Breakfast was ok.. Few senior citizens who were with us did not come for the elephant ride.. They requested the hotel staff for tea and breakfast.. Hotel staff asked them to wait till we returned from elephant ride as they would not get the count of breakfast and tea.. Bcoz of which we all could have the breakfast only at 10.30am..overall a very disappointed experience …
Rooms are average and toilet is poor.front desk is just ok. morning complimentary breakfast is very poor.only poori ,dhal.egg, bread with jam, potato veges .this was the breakfast..small small insects are here and there in the room.staffs are kind that’s the plus of the resort.over all its average resort
The rooms were average but well maintained and excellent staff. We booked Safari through the hotel and they were very punctual and we had a long safari time as there is no much check on when you get out. Good homely food! Surroundings are also very beautiful and around a tea garden. Can hear the birds throughout the day. Good birding around the hotel itself. The various zones of Kaziranga have a lot of flora and fauna. I don’t think you need to search. Loved this place. Lovely and friendly people!
We spent one night at this hotel. The location is quite ideal. The jeep safaris start from this location. The pick up point for the elephant safari is also quick to reach from here. Moreover the hotel is located beside the tea estates, making it really picturesque and pleasant for an evening or morning walk. We were however warned about strolling out after dark by the hotel staff, as wild animals could be lurking. The staff was extremely prompt and quick in service. Breakfast was complimentary in our tour package. The food served was really good. The room was spic and span. We definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Kaziranga.
We stayed here for 2 days during our visit to Kaziranga in early November. Pros: 1. Good Location- right at the entrance of the central Range from the main road 2. Value for money 3. Ticketing centre is opposite the hotel 4. Courteous Staff 5. Food was strictly ok Cons: 1. The biggest con for me was the waste disposal. They dump it right next to the property in front of the rooms creating a big health hazard. Would I go and stay there again - Probably yes.
Stayed two nights with 8 family members in 3 rooms. Location is very nice, very near the Mihimukh entrance to Kaziranga National Park, in Kohora. It is not a luxury hotel and there are no frills, but the rooms are large and clean; the bathrooms are big too. The staff is very courteous and their service is excellent. All our requests were handled efficiently. Would definitely choose this place if visiting Kaziranga again.
