We stayed for couple of nights here. The lodge is beautiful, food is good . Our lodge faced the river and was very peaceful. There was a dance performance on one of the nights with a bonfire and great food, which was a delight to watch. The safari trips are very well organised and they also arrange a trip down...

Good enough for a royal couple... The lodge is very nice, try and get a cabin facing the river. We sat on the deck and were treated to monkeys playing in the "front yard" as well as storks wandering around. Also hot to watch local fisherman in the river and all of that was from the deck in front of...

As a couple we stayed at this location as party of a party of eight. This River Lodge I would rate very highly, lovely accommodation , staff who were very friendly and a fantastic menu. Room 5 is the best on site if you want to follow in the steps of Kate & Wills. Loved the place, a haven after...

At first we were a bit worried about the price, it seemed quite steep compared with other options in Kaziranga. However when we did the math we found that the "all inclusive" deal is actually quite useful. The hotel provides 2 free safari rides into the forest, along with excellent driver and the guide. The food in the lodge is...

Diphlu River Lodge is a gem of a resort at Kaziranga National Park. We stayed here for 5-days during our recent trip to Kaziranga and are delighted with almost every aspect of this resort including accommodation, safaris, staff, food and overall experience it offers. Without a doubt, this has been the best wildlife resort that I’ve been to till now....

Excellent rooms, great location, good food, fabulous staff, knowledgeable naturalists...so on We had a nice cottage on the river side, it was a wonderful experience. The camp fire on one of the evenings was a pleasant surprise, it was articulated by Mr. Ronish Roy, the GM of the property. The camp fire was garlanded with the Bihu dance ( a...

Beautiful grounds and individual cottages so to speak. Excellent staff and food was good. The manager is a delightful individual and you should try and spend some time with him. Grounds are wonderful and location to the park is outstanding.

This is unique and beautiful. The small lodge is near the river across which is the park. A delightful owner and our two guides were great. The park is beautiful. Not only did we see one horned rhinos (the most any place in the wild), we also had the amazing experience of seeing them mate--and after about half an hour...

Kaziranga is still one of India's best kept secrets. In recent years national parks like Corbett, Ranthambore and Tadoba have ended up becoming the casual hangouts of selfie-obsessed dispassionate weekend revelers. In contrast, Kaziranga attracts far more discerning travelers who show a genuine interest for wildlife. Kaziranga is in a sense the last frontier - raw, untouched expanses of wilderness,...

We stayed at this lodge during our visit to the Kaziranga national park in Dec 2016. The lodge is a mid-sized (i think max about 27/28 persons) property located on the banks of the Diphlu river. The lodge has their rooms / cottages on stilts - some of them facing the river. The lodge has an all inclusive plan -...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Diphlu River Lodge is the only lodge at Kaziranga National Park that is situated right at the border of the park. We offer all-inclusive stays from three to ten days. Our well-trained naturalists take you out into the park by jeep, elephant or even on foot. We also offer jungle and river walks, village visits and boat rides on the Brahmaputra river where you may also get to view the rare Gangetic River Dolphin. With only twelve twin-bedded cottages, eight of which are individual and four semi-detached, Diphlu River Lodge is intimate in size and built using natural materials (like bamboo, thatch, etc.). Besides comfortable beds, each cottage has a pleasant sit-out as well as a writing desk, mini-bar and a small fridge. A complimentary selection of tea and coffee and an electric kettle is also at hand for when you need a cuppa.
