We stayed for 2nights, extremly low on hygine..big rooms but unclean, old sheets beds old cud feel d spring coil while sleepin, smelly towels n smelly blankets...even sheets were old...2 bottles of water given on 1st day beyond that need to pay fr water on other days...

Pros: Located in the heart of the town. Rooms are big and spacious. Restaurant food is good. Cons: 1.This hotel needs renovation. 2.Rooms not maintained well and walls look dirty. 3.The bed is very hard, looks very old. 4. Room service is Ok. Our room did not have an in room dining menu 5. While checking out, the receptionist said they only accept cash but all the hotel booking websites show they accept card. Upon questioning the staff said, card machine bot working. 6. Overpriced rooms for their maintenance and condition. 7. Windows blind in the room was damaged sp couldn't open at all. Due to this, no natural light could come to the room. Overall, i wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

A clean, neatly maintained property with all that you need within the campus. A veg and non-veg restaurant, sports bar, gym, lawn, swimming pool ( extra charges) and ample car parking space. We stayed in A/c double room which was well arranged.Located in the heart of the city next to market road, it is close to the temples, restaurants and other places of interest. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rates are very reasonable and it is great value for money. Don't forget to try their "paan ice cream".

I’m a pure vegetarian and I had ordered veg biriyani along with other dishes. To my surprise there was a piece of chicken in my biriyani and I didn’t expect this from the cook. This clearly shows what kind of kitchen and cook they have. Coming to taste and hygiene part, I need not say much because a chicken piece in veg biriyani speaks to itself. Even the roti was bitter and taste of many dishes were pathetic. This is happening for the second time with me. Previously it happened with me when I ordered veg makhanwala, the taste was horrible and I asked them politely to change the dish, but the waiter refused and didn’t cancel the order and we had to pay full bill for not eating stale food. Very rude staff and management doesn’t care for these things.

Karkala is off the beaten track for most Western travellers. It is a nice place and Kateel international is in walking distance of the center of town. The overall experience was very good. Rooms are clean. Servicing is very good. The staff is very helpfull. One of the restaurants is ovelooking the garden and the swimming pool. The food is extremely good and very tasty! Beds are a bit hard but for us that was acceptable. The swimming pool was, for us, not very inviting. The owner garanteed us that it was clean but the water was not transparent. I guess you have to judge yourself. The only thing we didn't understand was the taxi rate for a trip to our next destination. The night before we had a deal for Rs. 2000 and when we wanted to leave earlier the next morning the rate suddenly increased with Rs. 500.…

The place is average but still one of the best in the small town. The food in the restaurant is very good however they do not serve the Break Fast. You need to go outside. The staff is helpful. They must add break fast in the restaurants.

Be it vegetarian or non vegetarian food, all the items are really good in taste and also the quality of food is great. Ambience and cleanliness is also good. Overall 5/5 for restaurants and no idea about rooms.

The location is awesome. The hot water 24 hours, the shower is something to be remembered. There is one Pan Ice Cream which you will not get anywhere in the world tastes awesome. The staff so friendly. Everyone who comes here should meet Mr. Rohith Kumar Kateel the owner.
