The Place is great considering the greenery and the calm environment.

However, the food deserves special recognition here. The Singpho Tribe, are infact known for thier authentic cuisines. They use no oil in their dishes. The meals both veg and non-veg are cooked using natural herbs and spices. A treat for foodies.

When we visited Ketetong Buddhist Temple near Margherita, we heard about this wonderful place from the Bhante of the temple. So, we decided to stop for lunch there. What a pleasant experience we had! Amidst lush green tea garden at a distance of about 7 km from Margherita, there sits the Eco lodge at Inthong village. You can surely experience Singpho way of living here, delicious food included. All food items are totally oil free, veg or non-veg. Rice is steamed in indigenous tree leaves called Kou Paat, which gives it a distinctive aroma. Boiled meat items are prepared using traditional herbs. We tasted pork and chicken along with thaali rice and immediately afterwards, had a cup of Phalap, the light smoky flavored traditional tea of the Singphos. Traditionally, they take tea after meals.

Please note: ** Some of the food items take considerable to prepare, hence prior booking is needed. You may call @+91 9854563845.
** Please do not expect five star luxury, facilities are pretty basic here. But if you are seeking a serene place to relax after a hectic period, this is the one.
