My girlfriend and i stayed here for 2 nights in the deluxe double room. with a private bathroom. We wanted to stay in Madeira, because then the San Jamon waterfalls are very close. On the island, we also went hiking on the Volcano Maderas aand the Ojo de Agua. The histel is quite nice and directly located at the lake/beach. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and well decorated. The bathroom as well just simple and towels were provided. We could use the kitchen of the hostel, which was mostly clean and just simple equipped. The trail to the hostel from the street is pretty tough with a scooter. By foot not really a problem, but because of the rocks and the conditions, the scooter has to driven quite confident. Otherwise you have to push the scooter the whole way. The staff was actually not really talkative and additionally, they didn’t tell us, what they actually offer. So for example, we didn’t know that they make a nice pancake breakfast or some dinner, if you wish, and also the opportunity to rent some kayaks from the hostel.

We stayed here for four days. Really great hostel on the beach, perfect to see the sunset and the vulcano. The food is just amazing, especially the pancakes at breakfast and the pasta at night. Very friendly personell and very fast wifi. The private room is big with a comfortable bed.

Our host was kind and made sure we were comfortable. He upgraded us to the waterfront bungalow as it was slow the week we were there. Our room was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. The views, no words to describe. We swam in the lake and enjoyed the most amazing sunsets we'd ever seen in the evenings. The family/help were all wonderful, kind and accommodating all of our requests. We ate all of our meals there. The breakfast was provided and we could order what we wanted. The host helped provide a guide for hiking the volcano and kayaking. Our guide Ernestor was incredibly smart, kind and helpful in every way. We loved him! We enjoyed our stay immensity and are already planning a return trip to this magical, wonderous island. Thankful we found this place!
