Beauty combined with adventure. Camping has never been so laid-back as in Himalayan Route’s Camps. . Having your meal and gazing straight up into the sky to identify constellations or watching galaxies with naked eyes is a unique experience possible only at Sarchu. Sleeping in a bed, with thoughts in minds, that far away from the civilization, no one can track you, even no one can call you at your phone with no network, brings you that never-before thrill and chill.

Detailed Reviews
After an hectic but at the same time most picturesque travel from Manali, this is the best camp for night stay and for acclimatisation. Surrounded on all sides by barren but at the same time the most beautiful mountain ranges, this camp at an height of 14500 ft provides you all basic needs and amenities to relax and acclimatise. Very well maintained tents with attached toilets, good food and the most courteous staff is the speciality of this property. And evening and morning walk around the property to enjoy mountains and to watch marmots is a treat and an energiser for further journey.

We stayed there in first week of september 2018. Due to some unforeseen conditions we reached there one day late but owner was very generous to accommodate our booking at no other cost. Location is good but in my opinion all the tents are very close to each other so location is not a deciding point. Tent was basic but in good and firm shape with no wind inside and you feel comfortable as soon as you enter the tent, bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean with 24 hours water supply. Generator light was provided for few hours in the evening but you don't miss electricity. Staff was very courteous and helpful.
Food is very basic but this is the case with all the tents in ladakh region. Only problem with food was that it was tasteless. We were three people and all had same opinion. There is a lot of scope to improve the food.
My wife felt AMS and owner provided us garlic water to drink and advised her to walk a little and it worked. She flt really good though not 100% but it worked for the night. We did a lot of running, jumping about but paid the price in the morning. We all felt AMS and we had to go to military camp sarchu. They just give us oxygen and some basic medicine. Dr's advice to avoid AMS -
1) Take diamox medicine 48 hours in advance for two consecutive days.
2) Drink plenty of liquid e.g. water, mazza, slice, juice whatever you find tasteful.
3) Walk slowly and do not run, jump.

Great luxury tent accommodation in the Himalayan mountains. Here the sky is deep blue, the water is pure as crystal and the night sky is full of bright stars. All this can only be seen here. Great experience

Very comfortable and warm Camping Tents despite chilling temperature. Excellent dinner served. Was given an extra blanket for the kid despite no cost involved. Amazing tea, Egg bhurji on request, Breakfast could have been slightly better. Sachin is a great guy on the site and Nitin the owner is very accommodating to small requests. Cheers Team.. Do well.

Great place to stay between the mountains and just by road side, rooms and toilets are clean and tidy, great hospitality from the staff, break fast is tasty and served on time.. Most important is that we reached sarchu at mid night at 3am indeed provided rooms and warm water at that time..

It is a base camp just for an escape from the outside weather which is windy and cold at some 15000feet. You have minimum requirements for a camp. A cot to sleep with heavy blankets. No electricity except a generator from 5 to 10pm just enough for light. No heating devices. You can have basic food to eat. And that is all.
