Rainbow hotel is centrally located within Ruiru town, and is accessible easily from both JKIA Via Eastern bypass or and rail which passes not soo far way from the establishment. Furthermore, the hotel is hardly 500 mtrs from a major superhighway connecting the eastern region of Kenya to the capital. Besides the ample parking for all visitors, you can enjoy their swimming pol at no extra cost if a resident. The rooms are pretty spacious and there services on another level. For conference meetings, you will have a variety of rooms to choose from, from upthe top floor to ground floor where a number are located and not to mention prices which are really well thought of.
Have been to this Restaurant and Resort before in 2017 and numerous other times, but this experience was a complete waste of money! First, the hotel has raw sewage running from taps and bathtub due to water contamination (which made showers impossible 😡). Next, the rooms have been poorly cleaned and sanitised (FIY, we are in Covid-19 era here). Finally, we had a horrible experience during checkout as I was stopped at the gate due to apparent lack of payment. The checkout lady didn’t even have the courtesy of explaining anything and we were left at the mercy of the guards at the entrance. I am completely done and never intend to have another stay here.
The worst hotel ever. Went for my wedding evening party. Executive apartment was a joke. Dirty and dusty. The water was Cold. Customer service appalling. Rooms paid for in advance could not be made out. Very disorganised and confused lot. A lot of micro management, every staff who is family was a boss. Food served was cold and tasteless. My guests had to wait for hours for breakfast, Breakfast consisted of either cold or hot drink, a sausages and sweet potato. Eggs were sold separately., very very disappointed. The resort should be closed!!!! Day light robbery without violence 😭
I come here often for the spa, which i would rate 4/10. The jaccuzi is ALWAYS dirty with black things floating around, the towels abit smelly (carry our own). I sat at the restaurant for the 1st time, after a cold welcome from the receptionist who demanded to know if I will be eating because i had requested to sit somewhere i can charge my laptop. The restaurant was evidently manned by trainees, not that I have an issue with that..but there should be a permanent staff member offering guidance to the young ones. I loved the service from Munene, very helpful and proffesional. Happy 2020
My family was here for a Sunday afternoon Lunch and Swim. We waited 30 mins and when no one was taking our order, we had to go to the pool counter ourselves, They treated us with alot of contempt bearing in mind that the children were hungry and when we asked for water before our order came, the waitresses kept us waiting, all the while bypassing us like we were non-existent. The people next to us asked for ketchup for their fries, when the waitresses brought it 40mins later, they were done with their meal.
The viewpoint from top is very beautiful.Along the highway and easily accessible and well connected.Rooms are very spacious and well kept.On weekend it's usually full so booking in advance is crucial.Food well prepared and fresh and you will enjoy.
The hotel looks good and my room was spacious and clean. My only challenge was mosquitoes in the wee hours and the bathroom had a bath tub and no stand alone shower. However, the water was hot and pressure adequate. The bar had an adequate variety and the prices are fair. The staff can be faster and the meat should be fresher. The hotel looks like it could do with more maintenance. The gym was adequately equipped and opens at 6 am. I would recommend and will visit again
Yes will be coming often with friends on personal capacity. It's a good place to meet and interact with people. Services are good and inspiring..Though have not spent the night, will try next time to feel the room. However, the general reception Okey and at standard.
I was really disappointed with the valentines event yesterday. Totally not worth the Ksh 4000. The ambiance was ok, but everything else didn't lift the mood. The food was cold and I just wondered why serve buffet instead of a la carte for a romantic dinner?
The resort itself has sufficient amenities and makes for a comfortable stay. The restaurant is definitely value for money when comparing to other hotels in Nairobi. The staff are extremely friendly and always eager and willing to help and go beyond. The highlight is just relaxing by the pool and enjoying a cold local brew. The Hotel also includes airport transfers which is recommended rather than local taxi or vehicle rental as traffic can be brutal.
