My wife and I stayed here with her parents for two nights and had an absolutely fabulous experience - a treat in our Tasmanian tour. The location is stunning and extremely tranquil and the home cooked meals and use of local produce superb. Would highly recommend doing a guided walk with Sean - hugely informative.

Less than 2 hours from Launceston airport, the Lodge is tucked away under the Great Western Tiers, a long escarpment that crosses North central Tasmania. A friendly welcome, a tranquillising location and a very comfortable room with an excellent bed 'set the scene'. There are good walks of an hour or two from the door and interesting landmarks like Liffey...

What an amazing couple of days of peace, beauty, tranquility and walks in the world heritage forest at the base of the Western Tiers, staying in this wonderful Eco lodge in the most comfortable bed ( and pillows) of our Tasmanian sojourn. As a guest of Forest Walks Lodge, be prepared to be inspired, enlightened and entertained by Sean and...

My partner and I stayed her for just one night (wish it had been more!) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. We really liked the self-guided walk and seeing the native flora and fauna. We stayed in the 'Deluxe Queen' Room. It was very nice and clean with a beautiful view....

My wife and I spent three fabulous days here and wished we had been able to stay longer. Views to die for, no mobile phone reception, fresh air, great local walks. Highlights? Peace and quiet, three course dinners of restaurant standard, guided walk with extensive level of information and great hosts in Rosemarie and Sean. Will definitely be back.

This was our third visit to Forest Walks Lodge and we will be back again next year. Sean and Rosemary are now like friends rather than hosts and it is lovely to have them sit with us after the evening meal and share a bottle of wine while we chat about our varied and common interests. Looking for somewhere to stay around Deloraine we chose Forests Walks Lodge based on the Trip Advisor reviews. The reviews sounded a bit over the top but they are spot on. The place is one out of the box and for anyone that is looking for peace, scenery and very good food you should give this a try. Our room...

My family and I stayed at this wonderful place for a short break holiday recently. I had no real expectations, as we had booked based on a stayz search, however from the moment we arrived, driving up the roadway into the accomodation we were met with the pure serenity of the place. Hills towering to the sides, natural bushland mere...
