If you want a jungle tour with the comfort of hot water, pool, electricity and first class kitchen, for around $500 for three days and two nights. In stead of a week living like a hobo for $ 250. Then Heleconia is an easy choice. Family freandly, but dont bring your very young children to the jungle excursions please. They...

Heliconia Amazon River Lodge exceeded all our expectations by far! We were especially impressed with their staff/hospitality. The place was absolutely stunning with beautiful flowers and trees all around. I long to return soon as our experience was quite profound and I miss the sounds of the jungle. The tours arranged by the lodge were fun and well organized. All...

My dad and I stayed here for 3 nights in December and we definitely saw and learned a lot! They pick you up at the airport and shuttle you to whichever hotel in Iquitos (Victoria Regia or Acosta) and then take you by van the next day to the dock. The speed boat they take to the Lodge is very...

We spent 4 nights at Heliconia Lodge. The staff were great especially the activity guides. It is an eco lodge...so they do not run their generators during the heat of the day. This means no fans during the hottest time of the day. and it is HOT there. We booked two days of fishing for the guys....DO NOT waste your...

Spent 3 days/2 nights here with my husband recently. Had a truly memorable and unique stay. Everything was very well organized - airport pickup, transportation, smooth boat rides, etc. I really appreciated not having to worry or think about the transportation, all of that was seamless. The lodge itself is beautiful. Food was wonderful and plentiful with fresh juices at...

We stayed 3 days / 2 nights and felt that we got to do all the activities and still have time to relax. The pace and...

Incredible experience, local guide excellent. Rooms basic but large, en suite and clean. The millions of creatures making noise at night is unforgettable. Once in a lifetime experience, must be on your bucket list.

Very cool place. Went in August 2013. If I remember correctly it was a 2 hour boat ride down the amazon from Iquitos. Spent 3 nights. It's small, maybe 8 or 10 rooms. You are in the middle of nowhere, and that is a good thing. Rooms looked like tiki huts and were separated from each other by wooden boardwalks....

We stayed for four days and three nights and it felt like more than a week due to the fullness of beauty, activities and meals all day. It was the ideal Amazon trip with a mix of nature hikes, river cruises, chilling at the pool and visiting indigenous communities. From the shuttle airport pick-up to being dropped of there again...

This was a great place. The rooms were spacious enough and very clean for a lodge. Its not a 5 star fancy hotel but very clean and spacious given its in the jungle. I don't want a fancy place in the jungle that goes against preserving the jungle at all. This place was environmental as far as I could tell....
