Nice.Silent location in the midst of tea plantation.Covid protocols like sanitizing,disinfecting baggage were followed.Three types of rooms available Mountain, Valley and Valley+Jacuzzi.The Valley View rooms give you a visual treat.If you are able to wake at 6am you can get to see sunrise from behind the mountain,clouds floating and all the valley beauty, you can get to see till Idukki. Must try buffet breakfast. Rooms are clean. Refill of tea/coffee supplies ,drinking water,bath supplies were done as and when requested.They have a good restaurant but little costly. They also gym,play area, small trekking activity. Staffs are supportive and give you information regarding nearby tourist destination and guidance. Tip- Try to call the hotel to enquire about the fare, you might get a good deal than Online Travel sites.

From beginning to end this was a fantastic hotel with a personal touch. The authentic welcoming was much appreciated. The view from the room was fantastic, recommend the valley view. We had a sneak peak at the honeymoon suite which looked divine - cannot fault it. The food throughout our stay was brilliant. The service provided by all the members, whether it be reception, restaurant or cleaning staff was very thoughtful. They would be there at every step and would make you feel at home! Gru ( I believe his name was) was very helpful during out stay and would seek us out to make our stay would go without any problems. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone. The only downside was on our booking the minibar was included however this was not honored which we let slide. But this would not deter from our enjoyable experience

We stayed in Amber Dale Resorts for 2 nights on 03rd and 04th January. Our stay at the resort was very good with a spectacular valley view (Ananta Valley View Room).
Food at the restaurant was really amazing Thanks to entire chef team and special thanks to Chef Arjun and Chef Ajin (he makes amazing live salad). They also have their local delicacy on the menu every day which was worth it.
I had my nephews birthday and the reception desk was kind enough for decorating his room with rose petals and birthday cake on my request which was again very delicious made by the restaurant team.
However there were few cons as in there was no Air condition in the room and it was hot during the day time and even at night during our stay. Also there were very few kids activities with no garden, swimming pool and play area.
I once again thank the entire team at Amber Dale for the pleasant stay.

This hotel is perched on a very steep mountain and the views from the balconies are really incredible. However what locals will giggle and tell you with a whisper of gossip is that the hotel was renovated and renamed after a major landslide caused huge rocks to come crashing down through the reception, trapping guests for a couple of days. It was called Plum Judy. Google it.
That said the renovation is good and room layout is very similar to a Novotel, modern, functional etc. However watch what floor you are on - level four, below the dining room is massively noisy, you can hear the scraping of heavy teal chairs across tiles amplified for hours. Excruciating. Terrible if, like us, you have early wake up for trekking.
The restaurant is fine and staff are helpful in the main.
They have some cute ideas for activities - tea and snacks on the roof, camp fire, cooking class - but the rooftop itself is a space that needs some TLC or at least more furniture.
For a newly renovated property, they really need to maintain it better: better cleaning, repainting dirty walls, grouting bathrooms. Otherwise the property doesn’t deserve to call itself “luxury”.

From the warm welcome to a heartfelt adieu, everything about this place was pitch perfect. The location of the place is a bliss, the gesture by all the staff is remarkably polite and the room with regular maintenance makes it uncanny. A wonderful property, it was an absolute delight being here! Such grandeur to behold, with a great ambience too. The rooms are lovely and reasonably spacious, the beds are comfortable and the private Jacuzzi inside the room with the scenic view was out of the world. Kids had a fabulous time. They also provide various facilities that make for a comfortable stay. Covid protocols were followed well. And the hallways were sanitized in regular intervals. The dining hall is large and spacious and is attached to a balcony with a great view of Munnar, a wonderful spot for photography and for star-gazing on a clear night. The food is delicious and accommodates various cuisines, The kitchen ensures not only taste but also healthy and hygienic meals. The staff was very friendly and made us feel home. Every query and complaint was followed up with almost importance. The entertainment room was thoroughly enjoyed by my my kids. All over our stay was comfortable. We will definitely visit again. We were welcomed to a lovely cup of Kerala Spice Tea and since it was Valentine's day were offered roses. The check-in was smooth. The whole hotel and even the bedroom were well decorated for the special day. The rooms were spacious and the view from the balcony was great. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped with toiletries and even had a hairdryer. There is a cooking demo which happens every evening and also campfire at 9 pm every night. The breakfast was very good. There is a gym and recreation room with games like carrom and table tennis. There is also a spa centre which is a must when you visit Kerala. The hospitality was good. Overall had a great stay and would surely recommend to all.

This place blew my expectations in terms of its stunning views from the “valley view” room, it’s customer service, the food and the attention to detail in everything. The food was equally delicious and the breakfast was pretty lavish. They put a nice touch by giving you a very warm welcome and a free tea plantation visit with a professional photographer. The bonfire on the rooftop was another great thought and we met a lovely couple up there and chatted while enjoying the fire! I’m not sure what people’s expectations are when it comes to choosing an accommodation, but as someone who has traveled to over 55 countries, this hotel certainly offers a great combination of service and location.

A well maintained property Very well trained staffs, really appreciate the hospitality and cordial behavior of staffs. Even chef will come directly to our table to understand our feedback on food. Quality and taste of food was commendable. They have good play area and I spent lot of time there engaging my kids. Check-in process was so easy and fast. Room was properly maintained and cleaned. Evening they will setup Thattukada on roof top and we can enjoy nice tea/ coffee with snacks enjoying the scenic beauty of munnar. The view from room balcony was superb, i woke up early morning to see the sunrise in Munnar sitting at my room balcony(see the pic ;). Gym is properly maintained with minimum equipments and I've used it. Deserve 5* rating Thanks Amberdale for providing a nice stay Loved it .... will meet again...!!
