I went to Callaly Cottage Retreat for a massage as I was staying locally in Alnmouth. It was wonderful! Lyn Watson fitted me in which was great. She was grounded, quiet (didn't chat to me) and so gave me a lovely, peaceful 90 mins. She is clearly an expert at massage and listened to what I wanted. I really appreciated...

Stayed here for 2 nights & had an amazing stay, couldn't fault a single thing with this lovely retreat. Lyn is fantastic and a great host, beams with enthusiasm and her knowledge of the area is great. Nothing is too much trouble & her breakfasts are amazing. I would highly recommend this hidden treasure to all.

We recently had three great nights at Callaly Cottage. Lynn is an excellent host who serves delicious breakfasts including a varied fresh fruit dish, home made preserves and superb cooked Callaly Full and Craster Kippers. Our room looking out over the horses, pheasants and chickens in the field at the front of the house was extremely comfortable with a king...

For us when there is no noise from aircraft and no night light pollution we are usually well on the way to a higher level of being. Our stay here helped fulfil these requirements added to by the comfortable Room 1 with its bucolic view across the field housing the entertaining horses Dennis and Holly (I think) the tasty breakfasts...

We spent four nights in this wonderful b&b. The location was very good, a lovely rural retreat close to the towns of Alnwick and Rothbury. Our large comfortable room overlooked the garden and fields. Breakfasts were delicious and there was plenty of choice. I had a head and shoulder massage after breakfast on the first morning of our stay, it...

Quietness, peaceful garden to chill out in, great breakfast that set us up for walks, excellent packed lunch, a tasty surprise each day, legendary fruit cake and sumptuous lemon drizzle. Spacious rooms, great views, bathrooms to pamper yourself in. Tastefully decorated - thank you Lyn! Comphy beds, and hospitality tray catering...

DOMAINE MALIKA hammam Wow, what can we say, perfect place, perfect host, perfect few days to re-group, relax and reflect on our wedding. If you are after peace, outstanding views (all we could see from our window was fields and horses) and a host who is kind and knows it all and looks after you 100%, it is the place...

We've been coming some 15 years now and just love the peace and solitude here 👌 Such a lovely part of the world, and here in the middle it's so easy to discover new things to see and do even after all these years 😆 We'd totally forgotten Lyn does a packup lunch, and you really MUST have some of...

Lyn has been doing B and B for some 20 years but she is still so attentive and enthusiastic you might think you were her first guests. This is a wonderful B and B where we recently stayed for a week. Leave your outdoor shoes in the hall and enjoy all that awaits you inside. We were in Room 1...
