We traveled to Agonda for a quick break in December. Bay Agonda was a last-minute booking and a relatively short stay that happened which pleasantly surprised us. The setup is quite fresh and clandestine. Our room was curated to accommodate everything that we could need along with a river facing view, a boat that directly took us to the beach(amazingly clean) and brought us back, an open roof shower room(completely safe and beautiful aesthetics) and great food! We even went for a backwater ride which was readily accessible. The staff at Bay Agonda is extraordinarily equipped with personal skills. Karishma and Amedha "womenned" the front desk and had solutions to each of our eccentric demands :) A great experience which left us wanting more. Returning to this space is a given.

The bay Agonda is simply stunning and fabulous. For the price it is unrivalled, we have stayed at others resorts in the surrounding area and this is one of the best value and has a fabulous location.
The staff are always on hand for anything you may need. Malisha and Karishma were helpful and always on hand if we had questions or needed anything, thank you ladies for all your help.
The rooms are spacious, spotless and well appointed. There is everything you need for a fabulous stay. The room service menu is amazing and really quick, always a great end to the day to have a cocktail on our balcony/terrace or to e woken up to a French press.
Would love to return and will book a beach front room, currently being renovated/built. The only teensy downside is no loungers on the beach. But once the breach rooms are open then if you stay in these you will have your own loungers and terrace on the beach.
Loved the little boat across to the each, however just be aware that it is not 24hrs, so of a late evening walk back over the little bridge around a 3 min walk.
Thank you for such a wonderful truly relaxing and fabulous stay. Can't wait for the pool to be completed next year and lounge around it.

We traveled to Agonda for a quick break in November. Bay Agonda was a last-minute booking and a relatively short stay that happened which pleasantly good surprised us. The setup is quite fresh and clandestine. Our room was curated to accommodate everything that we could need along with a river facing view, a boat that directly took us to the beach(amazingly clean) and brought us back, an open roof shower room(completely safe and beautiful aesthetics) and great food! At treetop tava and bay corner .mr.Akash served us very tasty cocktail ( cashew feni cocktail) we are coming back to stay at the Sea view cottages next time .We even went for a backwater ride which was readily accessible and arranged by the front desk staff . The staff at Bay Agonda is extraordinarily equipped with personal skills. Specially malisha "womenned" the front desk and had solutions to each of our eccentric demands :) saurav and prasad were very good at their work.we were surprised with the hospitality we received ..last but not the least Devendra helped us with our lagauge and always helped us with the crossing the boat everytime.A great experience which left us wanting more. Honest review and I am not a person who takes the effort of writing a review about any thing.
I fell in love with this property so much that I wanted to write one. It's a bit long and detailed personal experience.

Breif Description:
This is a perfect place for couples and family. Nice and clean beach. Very nice cortious polite and helping staff. Decent and posh crowd. Great food options , there are two restaurants which serves great food and also if you want to explore there are many other restaurants on the beach side,, which is walkable and all are within 500 meters from this property.

Personal experience: Detailed one :-)
I stayed in 'the bay agonda' sea facing rooms, it's an experience on its own. The room is right on the beach and the rooms are facing the breathing taking view of the calm and clean Agonda' beach.
My three year old daughter was playing with sand all day making sand castles which is right in front of our room, this is so convenient as we can relax at the room at the same time watch on her as she plays in the sand which she lives the most.
There is restaurant 'Bay Corner' which is right next to the sea facing rooms, which is just 10 steps away. They serve very good continental breakfast like pankcakes, omlets, toasts, fresh fruit juices and full fledged North Indian food and also not to forget they also serve very good alcohol like cocktail, beer and other usual alcohol beverages. There is a person called 'Vijay' who is so courteous and always has a smiling face and servers you the best food.

Pros:
1. Amazing property as it has both river and sea in the same property. So they have river facing and sea facing rooms.
2. Very cortious, helpful and polite staff. Special mention is this lady called Dakshal, who always came and enquired if we need any help.
3. Very clean and well maintained rooms with AC and all other basic amenities.
4. Restaurant is just beside you who serve food and alcohol beverages to your room and they arrange born fire and tables as a candle light dinner.
5. There are activities like backwater tour at affordable price by local vendors on the beach.
6. There will be local fishermen who go on sea for fresh catch early morning, so it's a nice view and some thing to see so closely.

Cons:

1. Pricing is a bit on the higher, so if I think of long stays it a bit heavy on the pocket.
2. I am a South Indian and I like South Indian food, there is no South Indian food available. They can atleast include dosa, idlli kinda items.
3. Massage services are affordable and nice but they dint have women staff for the ladies. This can be better.

Definitely a place to stay and visit again. In love with this property.

We spent 4 fantastic days at The Bay Agonda. Our cottage was on the river side which is more scenic and cooler. You can take a small boat to the beach at high tide or take a short walk to the beach at low tide. Personally, we thought that the river side cottages were better than the beach ones which were isolated, less private and under the scorching sun. The room was very nice and clean. Also the outdoor bathroom was very pleasant and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Malisha and Karishna at the reception did a fantastic job hosting us and making sure that our stay was perfect. Also the staff of the Tava tree top restaurant and bar were very nice. We recommend taking the back water river boat tour. It was very beautiful and we saw lots of birds. A taxi to the center of Agonda beach road ( where most restaurants and shops are) will cost around 150-200 rupees or a 30 minutes walk.

Stayed in Bay Agonda for 3 nights in Jan 2020. First of all it's a beautiful resort and location, right next to the laid back Agonda beach in South Goa. Numerous positives for the resort, close to the noisy beach shacks, but feel a world away from the same. Quite peaceful, decent size well appointed rooms and the outdoor attached bathrooms are a nice touch. Malisha and Karishma at the front desk are both fabulous. They both go above and beyond to make your stay special. When the first room allocated to us was not in the best spot, Malisha recommended that we check out two other rooms and got the best match for us. Whether it is renting scooters, recommendations, additional water bottles or booking a cab everything is done promptly and right the first time. While we were staying, the resort was opening new rooms on the beach and they looked beautiful. Two negatives, the boat to cross the lil water body to the beach only works during high tide, when it is not it is a 10 min walk to the beach via roads outside of the resort. The restaurant has beautiful views, but the western breakfast we got was not too good so we ate breakfast at the shacks on the beach the rest of the stay. Overall love South Goa and Agonda, enjoy the friendly locals, food, culture and the Bay is a great spot to stay while visiting this beautiful part of India.

After completing a course in Kerala I wanted to spend some time just relaxing and enjoying the beach. Agonda beach and The Bay seemed like the right choice.

The bay is located at the opposite side of the more lively part of the beach. Which I personally prefer, however, be prepared to walk 10-20 minutes to get to some nice restaurants. In return you get a quiet beach and less loud music at night.

The retreat itself is lovely and very green, the huts are luxurious and my bed was very comfortable but there’s some construction on site (its not loud at all).

The downside for me was the restaurant, the food is just not great and neither is the service. There are much much better options available. Also it would be great if the swimming pool and the bridge to the beach have been already completed by the time of my visit.

The two managers Malisha and Karishma were very friendly and accommodating.

I’ve seen some complains about the dogs and the WiFi being unstable. I personally didn’t think this was an issue as you are in a very remote location and India is a well knows for having a lot of dogs and other animals.. so these are the things one should expect.

Overall a very nice stay and a lovely resort :)

Very few places in India serve you from your heart. The place which is sandwiched between a ravine and the Arabian Sea is a beautiful location which boasts of both natural as well as man made beauty. The beautifully designed open air bathrooms are the main highlight of the rooms. The beds are comfortable and all the comforts are available in the room barring a mini bar.

But the thing that we actually brought back with us is the extremely warm hospitality rendered by the entire staff of the place, especially the front desk team of Karishma, Malisha and Prashant. Interestingly they all belong to the same village as the hotel's, which made the interaction even more genuine. Even the ladies who came for housekeeping or to water the gardens or the gatekeeper (Shankar): they always carried a warm smile and never said "No" to anything.

As a matter of fact, it is the people of this place who made our stay really memorable.

Also, the beautiful candlelight dinner, accompanied with freshly cooked food made the evenings extremely relishing.

A special place for special moments. Thank you TBA for an excellent 4 days and hope to see you soon again. And this time for the ocean facing villas.

One of the best resort I have visited till now. The receptionists were really helpful and friendly. Great staff who knew how to serve the customer. The room was well equipped and the service was excellent. From the room, we could view the sea and feel the cool breeze. The location of our room was absolutely perfect. As soon as you come out of the resort, It felt like a private beach, very clean and clear water, a very good place to relax and chill. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The view of the sunset from that point was mesmerising. I must say the location of the resort is at best place of entire Goa. The hotel is located in a very quite area, it has great facilities (cozy and very clean room)
and the most kind and helpful staff. It great for families and people who seek relaxation, we stayed almost one week, everything was perfect (room service and delicious food). Congratulations to staff MITIZA which helped us with everything we asked, as well us Lin. It was a great experience, a paradise on earth!

Hi,
Got this reference from the resort of Dandali when we stayed there. Was thinking how it would be interns of service and . However when I visited , it was pleasant feel by breeze of see waves and sound. I booked river view but then later they offered me beach view room. Special thanks to Mitza (staff) who helped me to get the beach view resort and my stay there. Service was good and room maintenance is neat .
It was just 100 feet from the waves .. I enjoyed the view thoroughly and chilled in beach. The crowd was very less as public entry is very minimal. Only resorts guests walking around the beach so not much disturbance and more privacy.
Was unhappy with the Restaurants service as they run separately and cost is very high though everything available.
I would suggest to go to near by local hotels for food if you want to save some money.

Thanks to Mitza and Shanuwaz…

Raghu C
