All our cottages have Air-con and an ensuite bathroom. We have 4 sea-view cottages (3 raised and 1 ground level) and 17 garden facing cottages. An open-plan sea view restaurant that combines the best of Indian and European dishes plus a large selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
This was a last minute booking during Christmas which is usually a difficult time in South Goa to find good accomodation so we got very lucky with this find. The place was centrally located in Agonda at walking distance to everything which made commuting easy. A perfect and cosy short getaway with touches of green and good ambience situated in front of the beach so you can wake up to the waves. The room and bathroom was nice, clean, comfortable with an aircon. The staff and service were exceptionally friendly, professional and helpful at all times including with our booking, recommendations and also when we misplaced some of our belongings, Anisha Bandekar in particular was wonderful. The price of the stay is a bit on the higher side if you are on a budget friendly trip but reasonable during the holiday season compared to other places that are not as nice. The cafe food is decent with complimentary breakfast and sweet puppies for company. On Christmas night, we enjoyed a fun karaoke session and met some lovely travelers as well. Highly recommend!

This resort is a true gem in Agonda! The sea-facing rooms are quiet, spacious, and offer stunning views. The beautifully maintained tropical gardens add to the serene ambiance, making it a perfect retreat. The attached sea-facing restaurant is fantastic, serving great food with equally amazing views of the beach.
The staff, both in the resort and restaurant, are friendly and attentive, ensuring you feel well cared for throughout your stay. The location is ideal, situated in the nicer part of Agonda with a beautiful sandy beach just steps away. Highly recommended for a peaceful and rejuvenating stay!

Consistent and easy communication from Agonda Cottages via emails and WhatsApp!! Smooth airport pick-up and transportation to location.
Upon arrival luggage was delivered to room and space was just like the photo images. I had a garden cottage. Agonda Cottages are located on the southern part of Agonda Beach, and you can walk on the beach or the road with convenience. Sabodh, property manager, was friendly and easy to talk to. Had several suggestions of places to eat and visit in Agonda. The Kerala Ayurvedic Massage Center at Agonda Cottages had several services that we took advantage of, and worth the visits!!
The complimentary breakfast at the restaurant had many delicious Indian and Western food options. I had dinner at the restaurant too and they had many options and the food was delicious!! Restaurant staff are attentive and friendly as well.
It was the perfect tropical getaway from the cities of Delhi and Bangaluru. I highly suggest a stay at Agonda Cottages for anyone coming to Agonda Beach and Goa!!!
Daily golden sunsets add a special touch to the end of a relaxing beach day. 🌴🌅

The drive to Agonda cottages via the Ghat section and village scenes is breathtaking!
Guest relations and front office manager Anisha Bandekar takes extra care to make the guests feel at home!
The tunes of the ocean synched with the live music at the cafe and turned the time, mesmerizing!
The property has a collection of clean & cosy cottages and an efficient hospitality team that keeps the spirits of the guests, alive!
The spacious and partially open-to-air washroom is an inviting thinking room but we must remember the beach to exit and place our feet 👣 on the sands!
Undoubtedly a place to unwind and gather our energy to live the future in good spirits!

The best stay in Agonda. We visited South Goa this October with our 1 and half year old. We stayed at Agonda Cottages for 3 days. This property is located right on the beach shore. The view from this property is amazing. The rooms are cozy and the entire property is neatly maintained. Worth the money. The wifi is little wobbly there. The beach shack is the restaurant for the people who stay here. The menu can be tweaked and be made baby friendly on request. The staffs are extremely friendly. Special mention to Ms. Anisha Bandekar who works as a Manager at Agonda Cottages. She was very friendly, professional and helpful. We missed out wrist watch there and we never knew that we missed it at this stay. But as soon as she found the watch at the room we stayed in, she contacted us diligently and cross checked about the missing watch and even sent the watch to us through Post all the way from Goa to Tamil Nadu. Such a wonderful gesture. It was neatly packed and we received our watch without even a single scratch. My sincere thanks to Ms. Anisha Bandekar. Would 100% percent recommend this stay

Had booked this after having looked at multiple positive reviews across multiple platforms and also the fact they were probably the last few empty cottages left before the long weekend of Diwali. However had a very mixed stay at the resort. Listing my experience below.
Pros: The cottages are easily accessible and right on the main agonda beach road so wont have problems finding it.
The room/cottage is decent sized and had amenities that you would expect after having paid like 6k a night so nothing great but nothing to complain as well
The whole area is beautiful and full of greenery and very quite and peaceful so you can sit and relax during your stay
Cons: The cottages faced electricity outage a minimum of 50 times if not more during our 2 day stay. We have been at multiple places at Agonda over the last couple of years and have never seen such frequent outages. Once or twice through the day is acceptable but it just kept happening every hour or so.
The restaurant is sub par to say the least - food is just average but their service is extremely slow. We had ordered hummus and after 40 mins when asked they said we were out of electricity (like I mentioned above) and hence hummus couldn’t be made so we eventually had to cancel after a 40 min wait. The beers again due to frequent outages were warm and thats not what you want at a beach side restaurant.
The bathroom had no water when we checked in the morning, post our complaint it was fixed but then all that we started getting was burning hot water through all the taps including the WC. My husband was mid shower when all of this was happening and somehow managed to get out of the bathroom without his skin getting burnt.
Another washroom problem, come night and wanted to use the washroom and there was a huge huge rat in there. Who do you go complain to in the middle of the night for this. Such a downer.
All in all more cons than pros and we would probably not want to have another stay at this place.

Dear Kanika, Thank you for your detailed review and your positive comments and also for your negative ones. The power situation was good whilst you were with us, and we apologise. We get our resort ready and fully up and running for the start of the season, but the same cannot be said for many of the other resorts on the beach, which often have a temporary electricity connection. As a result, this season, the local power supply was almost constantly off and on for a few days whilst the electricity department reconnected other resorts. Therefore all the resorts on the beach suffered from the same power interruptions. We do have a generator which we turn on when the power has been off for 5 mins. But early next season, we will turn it on for larger parts of the day if we manage to anticipate when the other resorts are connecting to the supply and hopefully avoid the regular on-and-off that can happen in the first few days of the season. We hope that you managed to enjoy the beach and the beautiful village of Agonda, and we thank you for your understanding. You mentioned a rodent, and we fully understand how undesirable this is. We keep traps behind the cottages, and regularly, an external pest control team visit the resort. Because of this, it is a rarity that we ever have an issue, but very occasionally, especially when neighbouring properties re-enter their resorts and start cleaning etc., then rodents may enter our property as a result. We are on a constant mission to ensure/reduce the possibility of any rodents on our property, and as with everywhere in the country, you will see something from time to time. If any guest has any issue, then we are always here and will fix any problem as soon as possible. Thank you for your feedback and for staying with us, and I hope that you return again.

My wife and I have just returned from a fantastic week's holiday at Agonda Cottages. We had a garden cottage in beautiful surroundings. Just a few steps away from the beach we also had a lovely outside balcony where we could relax. Thank you to Anisha and her colleagues for looking after us so well. They were able to help with any questions or requests in relation to available activities and local amenities. Our cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Thanks to the housekeeping team the cottage was cleaned daily with bottled drinking water provided. The restaurant / bar was the perfect place to chill out after a day on the beach with amazing local and international food and drinks run by a friendly, efficient and attentive team. The location in Agonda was absolutely perfect for exploring the surrounding area. We could not have found a better place to stay and cannot wait to return.

A jewel in southern Goa, what a lovely place, looked after by a wonderful caring staff team. The rooms were a delight, perfectly cleaned every day and all in all we were looked after marvellously. We will most definitely be back.
Two very small details for our Room 111; the toilet waste pipe had a small leak - not a big issue but will need attending to. Also, the pillows were incredibly firm and softer pillows would be my choice but accept not everyone's.
Don't let these two points though detract from a holiday we will always remember. Agonda village is also a small oasis in a bustling state (of Goa). The restuarnts are excellent; Zest, Mandala's and Little Plantation Leaf were the highlights.
For the best Margarita on the beach go no further than Agonda Cottages bar with a beautiful peaceful view out over the sea as the sun sets.
We thought we were being clever ending our hoiliday with 2 nights further north at the Taj Cidade Heritage Hotel in central Goa - a huge error. It was awful and we will never make that mistake again.
Big applause for Agonda Cottages, we loved our stay with you!!!

Anisa at front office is a star and is one of the most helpful staff members I have seen. However the bar staff, housekeeping are delightful as were all the other staff.
The rooms were well appointed with a large bed and big shower room, however we did ask for different pillows and nobody came back to us so we left it.
My main issue was the noticeable absence of sun bed umbrellas and this was a main frustration. All other hotels had them bar this so I was either forced to go elsewhere or sit in the bar for the afternoon.
The other issue we had was where the Kerala Ayervedic which sits on the front driveway is NOT part of the hotel and therefore the hotel are not responsible for what happens. We did have a problem where my wife and daughter went for treatment, were separated by two make massuse and then were accosted. This did not happen to two ladies who went in previously and were asked if they wanted male or female and were in the same room. There is something dodgy about the business as my daughter was also kept for another 45 minutes and then charged, when she didn’t ask for it!
The hotel is nice, close to the beach so enjoy!

Dear Gary, Thank you for your review. Firstly, regarding your report in your last paragraph, both I and my colleague directors have been appalled and very upset to hear of your wife and daughter's experience when attending the Kerala Ayervedic. Although not part of our business and we do not take responsibility for their actions, we are really very sorry to know of the unacceptable and horrifying experience your family had when attending this business. We are contacting the landlord to discuss your experience and to ensure that immediate action is taken to stop and prevent this horrific occurrence happening again. As immediate action on our part, we are not recommending that any of our guests use this facility and from today, to ensure that our guests bear their own safety in mind as a priority, we have installed a reminder 'Safety' poster in our reception regarding spas. May I reiterate again, that we are very sorry for your family's experience and thank you for bringing this very upsetting matter to our attention. We have a duty of care for our guests and only want them to have the best experiences whilst staying with us on holiday. On a good note, it was pleasing to know that all our staff were most helpful, in particular, Anisha at our front office was a star. I will pass your thanks to them all, including the housekeeping staff who all work hard and are dedicated to our guests to ensure they enjoy their time with us. We are also pleased to know that you thought our rooms were well appointed with a large bed and big shower room, please accept my apologies that you did not receive different pillows when you asked for them. The umbrellas is a difficult one, as we are under local Government Authority restrictions, where we are not allowed to have sunbeds or umbrellas on the beach, because Agonda is one of the main turtle nesting beaches in South Goa. I am sorry that you were unable to obtain umbrellas when with us, as we have to abide by these local rules. Finally, my heartfelt thoughts go out to your family for the experience you all had with the business nearby, but thank you for accepting the actions we are taking to ensure our guests take care when with us. With best wishes from myself, Mark, and our staff at Agonda Cottages.

One of the costlier properties on Agonda beach but the price is not justified for 2 major problems:
1. The staff is unresponsive and unempathetic to guests' problems. We stayed here for 4 nights and throughout the shower only had scalding hot water. It was impossible to have a shower for the entire stay and we had to rely on sponge baths in the sink. Despite daily complaints to multiple staff members, the problem wasn't fixed until our departure.
2. The included breakfast is sad, bland and worse than basic. You get one small serving choice from a very limited menu and if you're lucky a single choice of juice. Parathas without curd. No cold coffee. We skipped breakfast after the first morning - it was that bad.

Hi guest, We're sorry that you were not happy with the service and thought the breakfast was bad. We're very disappointed that you decided to give us only 2 stars, when our staff are here on hand and would be very willing to give assistance when needed. We usually receive many incredible high ratings of at least 4 stars and would ask you to reconsider your thoughts on your stay. Our breakfast is complimentary and we offer a reasonable breakfast, guests are always welcome to request extras or other items, but these would be at an additional cost, as we are unable to offer an unlimited choice or amount of food. Our management are often revered for their kind and prompt attention, we would love to know a bit more about your experience as to why you were so unhappy so we could learn from your experience. Please do contact us, we would be honoured to speak with you. In the meantime, warmest wishes from us all at Agonda Cottages. Mark
