Not everyone we travelled with liked this hotel (what we liked was that it wasn't coach tour place). A bunch of kind butt ough Babushka type ladies helped with the baggage (by this time on a trip with had started in Beijing some of our group needed packhorses). We liked the comfy outside seating, the cosy stove in the dining... More

We stayed here in October, and it was very cold. The rooms have no central heating and the concrete shell of the motel gets irretrievably cold. Our room was supplied with a two bar electric fire which did nothing to warm the room. Hot water in the bathroom also was lacking, mind you it was too cold in the room... More

The room in the Hittite houses was wonderful. On suite bathroom and nice bed. TV only had All Jazeera in English. Wifi in our room was bad. We had to go to the family room to connect. Breakfast was boring with pre packages food, and not very fresh. Beware the lokantasie in the town square - overcharged us for a... More

This is what it is a motel in a one horse town. it would be equally jaded were it in Arizona or Orkney. The rooms were very basic, no AC, which could be a problem. The en-suite bathrooms were very tired and stained and cleaned to a minimum standard. Breakfast was as unloved as the rooms. There were either very... More

The town is very small, only two attractions, the hotel located at the entrance to the town, convenient transportation, but need to take a taxi, few buses, hotel on a high floor walkway vast field of vision, adequate hot water shower supply, it is very important, in Turkey, the main use of solar conditions, very easy to run out of... Certainly not a Ritz Carlton but a perfectly lovely place to stay while visiting the ruins. The hotel was very clean, the rooms comfortable (with two beds, one big and one for small, functional but cute furniture). Breakfast was simple (not buffet style) but dinner and lunch food was excellent (small menu, but very fresh ingredients and deliciously prepared). The... More

Great little hotel with fantastically friendly owners. Deniz ( the owner) organized my pick up from the nearest bus station and was there to welcome me when I arrived. He was extremely helpful in arranging everything by email before I arrived and was a very congenial host when I was there. He organized for a friend of his ( Murat... More

The Hotel Asikoglu is a pleasant hotel, but expectation management is needed. There are only three hotels (arguably two) here, so the competition is not that great. These are not hotels that are in a major cosmopolitan area, so therefore are more on the “homey” side of the spectrum. Do not stay in the Marriott for three days in Ankara,... More

We were put in the Hittite House. Room was large and clean. Everything worked. Wireless was very slow in the HH but better on the patio of the Asikoglu across the street (same management). Food was fresh, average Turkish fare. The first morning we were there with a tour group and the breakfast was a buffet. The second day we... More

When we arrived, there was a German tour group having lunch. After they left it was just us. There are two hotels. The one across the street looked more upscale. Both were closing end of October. These two places may be the only game in town. The rooms are nothing to write home about but they are clean and you... More
