We stayed one night on our way down through France. Petra was very pleasant and helpful and her breakfast was first rate (especially the homemade brioche). Our room was clean and spacious and cute, in a rustic way. The short but very steep staircase up to the room in the eaves of what was, presumably, a former stable block, (with...

Dear Alison, thank you very much for this very positive review. I like especially the description of our duplex room with the staircase. It is true the first ups and downs are challenging, but this is the charme of our old servants quarters. You cannot always do what you want. I appreciate your remarks about our homemade breakfast. Don't hesitate...

We stayed in this gite in 2006 for 2 weeks and in August 2015 1 week. It is lovely gite. The ihouse is outfitted in the living room with a comfortable bench and armchairs. The kitchen contains everything one needs and the upstairs (bedrooms and shower) is light and comfortable. The outside is great and right next to the wood....

We spent three nights at the Domaine de Joreau in April. It's a lovely, beautiful place. Our room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast completely exceeded expectations. Every day there were options including coffee, tea, bread, pastries, jams, meats, cheeses -- all kinds of yummy stuff to get you fueled up for a day of exploring the Loire. Petra was...

Dear Ansley, Thank you very much for this great review. I am very happy that you enjoyed my changing breakfasts, because it is one of the things I pay the most attention to. Don't hesitate to come back if you wish to discover more wines and castles of the Loire. we still have some nice recommendations !

We stayed for four nights as part of a two location holiday cycling along the Loire. We found the accommodation to be first class with spacious and clean bedrooms with some nice touches. Our host Petra could not have been more informative or accommodating and suggested local restaurants and places to visit, all with a smile and nothing was too...

Thank you Sue and Mark for this very positive review. I am happy that I have been able to make your holidays a unique moment. Cycling along the Loire, wine tasting or visiting troglodytes - there is always a great thing to do in this part of the western Loire Valley. I look forward to welcoming you again.

We stayed here for one night whilst touring through France on motorbikes. We therefore didn't get to see a whole lot of the local area but I can say that the accommodation was excellent. The setting is very peaceful and set in extensive land, and yet a good healthy stroll got you into the main part of Gennes in 20...

We arrived tired and hungary after a days cycling, Petra met us and explained our eating options. We decided to stay put and enjoy food cooked by her. We showered , sat in the garden, had two different locally brewed ales followed by a three course meal with wine! It certainly revived our sprits! We had a splendid breakfast before...

Thank you very much for this splendid review. I am well aware of the difficulties for cyclists to go out again after a full day on the bikes and try to prepare at least a simple meal. Sitting in the garden and relaxing in the sunset is well deserved and appreciated. Happy to read that you appreciated too.

We stayed in August for 3 nights at this B&B. Very nice host, excellent breakfast and the garden was just awesome. Also for our kids, playing football in the garden. Our host gave us good tips for restaurants, sight seeing etc. The rooms are very spacious and clean.

I was very pleased to welcoming you at our place with your family. Unfortunately I couldn't offer you the additional night you were asking for. Our family apartment with almost 50 sqm is very appreciated by families with 2 children or more. Parents can relax in the garden while there children are laying football, jumping on the trampoline or feeding...
