Cheap and close to where I needed to go (thai consulate (A good few shops and eating options. Short walk to river. But next time will stay down by the river. You can check in after consulate visit unlike other places that checking in after 2. WiFi was OK. Place was quiet and clean enough if a tad shabby in...

I stayed here because of the reviews, but was really so disappointed I moved the next night. I had a hard time tracking down the owner when I arrived. I had to call him, based on the note he left, and he emerged from a nearby room, unhappy I had interrupted his nap. My room was really run down, although...

We stayed at the other guesthouse before we moved to this one since our bus arrived at 4 am and we had no idea where to go. The next day we checked into this place and it was really the best decision. Since savannaket is still not a touristy town it is hard to get around but this place provides...

This seemed to be one of the better budget options in Savannakhet. Its location is good, close to a busy road, with mini mart, eateries, and a shop selling good-value fresh baguettes with a choice of fillings. It's also only a few minutes' walk from the centre of town. I stayed in the room just off the reception area, which...

for 60,000/night, this place is reasonable. The place is quiet and no one is in the reception when we were there. No TV but just 2 fans and a bed. The shower was fine. We left the place and got a better accommodation few meters away, the Savan phatthana Guesthouse for the same price and the room was great, with...

I stated 2 nights at Souannavong and being low season I was the only one in the place besides the owner. It was quiet and the owner didn't seem that bothered that ideas there. I managed to catch him once to ask some area advice. When it's not quiet I'd say he's better. The fan room was adequate. Large double...

We stayed for 6 nights in a large ac room. The owner is really friendly and helpful. So, it wasn't a problem to get an extra table and chairs in the room. The guest house is centrally located. It's really hot and humid in Savannakhet. Free, tasty drinking water and towels are provided. The only drawbacks are that the reception...

Tbh the guest houses through Laos really aren't much to bang on about, really poor quality by our normal western standards. We picked this place going on the reviews as we just wanted a better place to stay after a poor run of guesthouses recently, staying 08/05/15. Well it's not the ritz lol but it's certainly not bad. 4 star...

I stayed in Souannavong Guesthouse for one night in February '15. When I arrived there was no one at the reception and it was written that you can call the number they wrote on a paper with their phone. After maybe 20 minutes someone arrived... I didn't really care because there were seats and good Wifi to spend the time...
