We spent four nights at Tiskita Lodge between Christmas and New Years, and had a fantastic time. We had been researching destinations in Costa Rica, and everything was booked. We were a little unsure when we called Tiskita and they had plenty of space. We decided to follow our hunch and the many positive Trip Advisor reviews, and were not...

This year our appreciation of Tiskita was increased by the presence of Mario, the new guide, and Jess, an Ayurvedic practitioner. We increased our bird list and enjoyed all our guided walks with Mario, whose care and respect for people, animals and the whole environment of Tiskita reflects the deep joy we feel each and every visit. Warm welcome is...

After a too short stay of 3 nights we could scarcely bear the commercialism of Antonio. Waking up at 5am to hear the forest come alive, watching release of Oliver Ridley turtles on the beach, dialogue with on premise scarlet macaw researchers, dynamic and enthusiastic hosts, absolutely delicious local food, and to top it off, Super Mario our guide who...

A camp like atmosphere but with private rooms and private baths. A balcony overlooked the jungle, all the way to the Pacific Ocean. Monkeys, sloths, birds, birds and more birds. Some crawling things also, but what the heck, it is the jungle. Excellent food (considering the location).

I spent 5 days at Tiskita for a yoga retreat and was blown away. The list is endless, but the lodge is in situated in the middle of the jungle and so you are completely immersed in nature and all the beauty it has to offer. The yoga shala over looks the jungle and the sea and our room, equipped...

I led a yoga retreat at Tiskita in Nov 2015. There were 14 of us in all, and we stayed a week. Tiskita is a magical piece of land, situated far from the tourism of northern Costa Rica. Their property is full of life, with Scarlett macaws, white-faced monkeys, agutis, even sloths. They even have natural freshwater pools you can...

What a place!! Beautiful surroundings which encompass a wonderful main lodge building! Wonderful food and staff and you feel completely at one with nature. As you can only realistically arrive by small jet plane, you feel so far away from anything industrial and urban. The wildlife is amazing. From the scampering feet of a coati or a lizard, to the...

I stayed in Tiskita for 4 nights in April 2015. Within 24 I had seen squirrel monkeys, a howler monkey, macaws, hummingbirds, toucans, frogs and geckos. Horseback riding through the rainforest I saw so many beautiful plants, as well as my first sloth. I was astounded at the variety of wildlife around the lodge. It was also incredibly relaxing. Mornings...

Our first stop in Costa Rica was Tiskita... It was all what we expected and a bit more. Its a very familiar and friendly place, where you can see a lot of animals and feel all alone in the nature. Our bungalow had ocean view, the veranda with hammock is great to relax with all the jungle sounds and the...

Tiskita Jungle Lodge was the epitome of great jungle lodging. The adventure began when we landed in our 4-seater plane on a "driveway" grass landing strip. The owners and staff were very on top of things. The buffet meals were delicious. For the nature lover, you are completely immersed and surrounder by wildlife while still being near the beach. We had...
