This is a perfect place to reorganize your travel planings and a good start point to go out and explore the nearby mountains. The owner is a very warmhearted, strong personality who always helps you out in anyway (She helped me organzie a dayhike). The rooms are clean, well maintained and in a good low budget condition (don't expext golden...

We had booked a hostel which apparently didn't exist, so our taxi driver ended up taking us here. And we were so glad he did! The owner is a lovely woman who speaks five languages and knows a lot about the local area. We ended up on the porch talking for hours. We also had bus tickets for the next...

We loved our stay at the mama pierina hotel! The rooms were nice and clean but most of all the owner was so nice and welcoming! She helped us a lot with the organization of the rest of our trip, made us taste the best tzaziki and moussaka, shared a lot of interesting stories. We had so much fun! Thanks...

Food not bad. I had a chips with melted cheese on top and a pasta arabiata. Prices average and a mix of some Greek, Swahili and Italian dishes. No music during the meal and service slow . I would think twice before I go again.

Four of us passed through in mid-February. Rooms are basic but very clean with the essentials - nice bed with mosquito net, air con, cupboard, bathroom. Really nice food - plentiful serves of moussaka and lasagna. Really nice atmosphere and great service. And Dimitra found a place in Dar for us to stay, and then leave our car while we...

One night stay at this welcoming place. Dimitra was a great hostess and the room was great value for money. Comfortable, new mattress, great mosquito net, a/c, delicious food - can't ask for more for the price we paid. Looking forward to going back soon!!

Mama Pierina is along a road where there are other places to stay nearby but I think this place gives the best value in terms of cost and comfort. We were given a room at the back and although the way there from the main building/restaurant is a bit dark, the room itself was very spacious and clean. It came...

Dimitra who runs the place is super helpful and friendly and can give you advice about anything. She is a shrewd businesswoman and runs a tight ship. Rooms are simple and nice. Some have a/c and some fans, all have attached bathroom and a/c rooms have a private courtyard. Beds are comfy. Hot water is available but I couldn't figure...

We had a very nice stay at Mama Pierina. The owner, Dimitra, was extremely helpful to us and she is also very nice. The food was also very good! After we came back in Morogoro again, we stayed at this place again. It felt like coming home because of the family atmosphere which is present there. This is a very...
