Second stay at this hotel for a business trip. The rooms are clean, comfortable and easy to work in with good sized desk and reliable wi-fi. The bathroom is compact, functional and again clean. The staff are friendly and always able to help with my requests quickly. The bar/reception area is lovely, very cosy but with a good buzz in...

Welcoming reception, cozy atmosphere that makes you feel at home right away. Friendly staff, very helpful. Room / beds / sleep perfect, though room at front, so when sleeping with window open, busy traffic in the morning will wake you up. Rooms could do with more sockets conveniently located near desk. Bathroom was very straightforward, bland, nothing fancy, maybe even...

We made a booking at this hotel on the basis of an internet search which included earlier hotel reviews. it is a medium sized hotel located in a commercial district about 20 minutes walk from the city centre. It is an old building on a busy road and has many character features. Positives : We occupied a standard double room...

Thank you very much for your review! We are happy to hear that you would like to come stay here again - it would be our pleasure to welcome you back! Regarding the negatives, we do have hot water free of use in the restaurant, free coffee until 11am and after that, coffee for DKK 10. We actually do have...

Two of us traveled from San Francisco for an 8 day first visit to Copenhagen the end of Nov 2016. We considered lots of hotels but decided on the Avenue Hotel and were not disappointed; in fact it exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful safe boutique hotel and not a typical corporate chain hotel which added to the enjoyment...

Scenic and modern. An amazing boutique hotel to stay in. Beautiful exterior. Elegant interior. Nice pizzeria right outside the hotel. Rooms are modern, minimal and functional. The staff is all English-speaking and very helpful at any given point of time.

We had a wonderful stay in the Avenue! They recognized our request that we had the preference for a quite twin room. So nice! The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was fine as well. Thanks a lot!

Great hotel for businesstrips. Large rooms With big wondows. The rooms are a little dated, but it's Nice and clean so I don't consider the age as a problem. The bathroom could be updated soon, but it was okay and clean, that's what's most important for me.

When I travel I only search for a well located hotel and a comfortable bed. Breakfast is optional, room size is optional, bathtub or shower is optional, view is optional... Etc. One thing that I take for granted is cleanliness, and this was not the case. For the price I've paid I expected better hygienic conditions because spiderwebs and spiders...

Thank you very much for your review. We will use this to learn from it in the future. To begin with, we apologize for the spider webs - they should not have been there! We will get back to our housekeeping and get it checked and cleaned. We are located in an old building, and some of our bathrooms are...

Stayed here last week, having stayed 2 1/2 years ago. Still a lovely place. Staff really helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The location is good - a bit out from the centre but still close. Our bedroom was toasty warm and comfortable. The breakfast is good (although cooked items used to be inclusive.) Best of all is...

Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Frederiksberg
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
