The Riverside hotel, located on the banks of the River Wye and just over a mile from the enchanting Monsal Head, is an ideal location for visiting the Peak District. My wife and I enjoyed a splendid stay in this charming location. Our room which overlooked the gardens and the river was spacious, comfortable and relaxing. The glass of sherry,...

We went for a ride to the Peak District. We stayed at the Riverside for my birthday two years ago. We were so impressed I vowed I'd go back; and this was the chance. What made this special was we had Afternoon Tea. There was a choice of sandwiches, teacakes, and fancy cakes. We opted for the sandwich selection. They...

5 of us enjoyed lunch together for Mother's Day at the Riverside House Hotel - a local venue for us . The service was very good considering it was busier than usual . The atmosphere on arrival and during the meal was really good and the tables are well spaced out over a number of rooms which is a bonus....

We really in need of a bit of tlc this weekend so treated ourselves to lunch at this hotel-we were not disappointed-from the moment we arrived the service was friendly, attentive and the food fantastic. Sunday lunch can easily be a bit boring but this was easily the best I've had for ages at £25. Attention to detail was great...

My partner and I stayed here overnight for valentines. We stayed in the exquisite Kingfisher room with an amazingly comfortable four poster bed. It wasn't cheap but with you don't mind paying a bit more if the service and attention to detail warrants it. The food was amazing, the service was faultless and the room was perfect. I couldn't recommend...

I can't quite understand the positive reviews of this place. We paid £180 for one night, expecting a luxurious experience for that price. We received a frosty reception on arrival, and no offer of help with our bags which we were clearly struggling with. There was no wifi in the room - we were told it was due to the...

Stopped by chance in Ashford in the water on our way to bakewell. 2 course lunch with a friend. Mushroom and goats cheese tart followed by chicken breast salad. So tasty it was really enjoyable. Topped off with a bottle of IPA..

Very pleasant location, staff very friendly and helpful, food superb, room immaculate. Unfortunately Wifi is only available in the bar area and my mobile was not in range (v.useful for my trip :-)). Many thanks for an enjoyable stay.

I love this Hotel. The room we had was a tad faded glory. The first impression was WOW then you notice it's all a bit tatty round the edges but ok. Nothing bad. However the bathroom was first class. Looked like it had just been done. The toilet is a bit high! your feet don't touch the floor-strange! Our beds...

Expensive at first glance, but very stylish little Hotel. Good and clean room, nice welcome and even a glass of Sherry in the room and a bowl of nuts and a box of bisquits to go with your coffee or tea. We were the only Dinner guests that evening. 45 Pounds per person sounds very expensive, but everything was freshly...
