An introduction to camping and some important family time with my daughter, brilliant well kept site, friendly staff and excellent area for walking. Good pubs serving quality food and a couple of shops for essentials

Fabulously located, 10 mins walk from the train station. But far away enough away that all you can see is countryside. Lovely staff in the check in office. Tents only which was a nice change. The toilets and showers were clean and tidy although the showers are a bit complicated to use but it was good temo when it gets...

Just returned from this great campsite. Visited a couple of times now and always made to feel welcome. Great choice of places to pitch and with no vehicles on site keeps it nice and peaceful. Showers nice and hot and a good little washing up room. Can't wait to go back we recommend this site to all. P.s well done...

Well my boyfriend & I have just returned from a lovely long weekend stay at Fieldhead campsite. On arrival we were greeted by staff & all rules were explained clearly. We had the choice of many sites to pitch our tent. The toilets & showers were clean & as we'd sensibly checked the website we knew we needed 20ps!!. We...

We've just returned from a fantastic family holiday at this campsite. Campsite is clean with good facilities and friendly, helpful staff. Perfect for families as the noise curfew is 10.30pm until 7.30am and has generally been adhered to when we've been there. This was our 3rd year in a row and wouldn't go anywhere else, we first went when our...

I wanted to take my four children for an adventure....to go somewhere new and climb some mountains. Coming from Norfolk the children loved the idea. We do camp a lot in Norfolk, my husband is usually working so i am usually on my own with the children and dog and camping locally has the added security of someone who can...

Stayed the first time by pure accident as we couldn't find the original campsite we booked , however the very friendly staff , the amenities and the location made this a perfect getaway. Now returned four more times , the last one being in May and plan on returning later in the year , one hint though if camping in...

Due to limited parking at the campsite (which to be fair we were made aware of at the time of booking) we were allowed to park up for a generous 5 mins to off load all our kit, in the rain, after which time a self important guy with a radio in hand hurried us up to move our vehicle....

Incredibly friendly staff from start to finish which was nice. Facilities are in need of a touch-up though, showers reportedly cost 20p for about 2 minutes. Nice location and site, good sized car park though would probably recommend booking in advance.

This campsite is in a great location for the Pennine Way and other (not so busy) walks. The site itself has lovely surroundings, with a stream running passed the bottom field. It is a nice spot to pitch a tent. However... I am an avid camper and have stayed in many sites from the sublime to the bio-hazardous. Unfortunately the...
