My wife and I stay at the York Arms, Ramsgill on Saturday evening. We stayed in Room 1, which is large and has a four poster bed, and well equipped bathroom. Our main reason for revisiting was of course for the excellent food, wine and service. It completely lived up to our expectations. There is sufficient choice on the menu...

We visited The Yorke Arms for a celebratory dinner with friends. We chose the 8 course tasting menu and accompanying wine flight, all I which was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. We rented Ghyll cottage just over the road, the perfect solution for 4 people sharing.

Called in today for lunch after going many years ago for a weekend life before children. We asked if we could do informal and have a bar lunch as advertised on their web site. We were placed at the one and only table in the bar surrounded by staff who were waiting on the restaurant. Could not fault the food...

A trip to celebrate my birthday. Couldn't have been better. The room was lovely, the Hotel a delight. The service exemplary and the food sublime. Highly recommended - not cheap, but well worth it. A special mention for the bread - so often overlooked, but here, wonderful!

We stayed for dinner bed and breakfast to celebrate my wifes special birthday. We had a suite which was excellent, spacious and comfortable. The dinner was the highlight and was a memorable experience. The ambience was good and the staff were attentive and professional. It is expensive particularly the wine but it was worth it.

This was a return trip for us after quite a long time as it's not the easiest place to get to. We had the set tasting menu but we were not alone asking for details of the courses before we chose a wine! What wine would you like? - earned the response "well what are we eating?" several times in...

Myself and my wife are self confessed 'foodies' and we had been advised to try here by a chef we know. We do a lot of cooking and like to try fine dinning if we get the chance, so we went and had the day in Pateley Bridge and booked for lunch. The only thing we can both say is...

The location is in a nice place but a long drive from where we were, near Pickering North Yorkshire, had the set three course lunch menu nice but not outstanding so we consider it not worth the drive .

Without doubt definitely worth the visit. Located a few mile outside Pateley Bridge in a nice small village setting. Excellent menu selection and service from your canapés through to the cheese and biscuits. Enjoyed the wine paring to accompany the tasting menu and enjoyed the piece and quiet of the location. Will return soon if we can arrange it.

Have wanted to stay at The Yorke Arms for a long time and my partner surprised me for my birthday yesterday. Everything lived up to our expectations. We stayed in Room 17 in the courtyard - a little cottage really although it is classed as a superior room. Warm welcome and spent an hour in the residents lounge with a...
