We stayed here for 2 days. It is located just located outside Kumily town yet near the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. It is budget hotel and offers modern rooms, a multi cuisine restaurant, a bar and even conference facilities for its business guests. They have lovely roof Garden. They believe in good hospitality for their guests. It’s a real good option.

A fairly decent accommodation place bang in the middle of the picturesque hill station of Thekkady. I stayed here for two days in their suite room, which is spacious, and has an outdoor dining room cum open balcony. The food is neat and good, and there is an attached beer n wine parlour. I stayed in Hotel Kumily Gate with my wife for three days last week. The manager Rajesh was very helpful and people who work there are always with a warm smile. They also get you tickets to various tourist activities which will save our time from queue. This is one of the good hotels in Kumily. The food was tasty too except they take too much time to process the order in weekends.

The hotel is in the heart of the city. It is a 3 star hotel still the price for rooms were quite low. Food is also good. Room Service is also quite fast.

Hotel is not as expected. It is just like guest house. No proper Ventilation. Breakfast is good. Staff are not supportive. Location wise it is good. Overall it is an average hotel to stay. Market is nearby the hotel.

rooms are ok sort, budget hotel.. the restaurant in premise is ultra slow.. the other downstairs is far better.. don't expect luxury.. you may call for a pest control.. but the hotel manager is excellent and very helpful that's the biggest positive point..

The property is easy to locate, just behind the Kumily bus stand and is conveniently located for all activities in Thekaddy. There is ample car parking in the compound of the hotel
The reception is the 1st floor. Also there is no lifts thus you need to carry your own luggage to your rooms, thus travel light. The GM is a friendly person and is more than happy to guide.
The rooms are quite ordinary. The seats are quite dirty and not been dusted for years.
The food in the restaurant was quite good. We had lunch as well as dinner and enjoyed it thoroughly. The kitchen closes at 8.30 PM in the night, thus please ensure you order before that.
Recommended for a night stay only.

Stayed here for one day (15 feb).Room was nice, clean n big n so was d bathroom.Its an old hotel almost 20 yrs.The day we stayed most rooms were vacant.Restaurant is downstairs serves good food.Vegetable kurma, roasted egg n d sambar were delicious.Must try .The coffee n tea were really nice as well.Manager is a nice friendly person, we went for a night safari , when we returned at 2 am the manager was awake for us to see if we needed anything.Must recommend everyone.
